R2012-27 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING UPDATES/AMENDMENTS TO THE "DESIGN CRITERIA MANUAL" FOR THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS; AND APPROVING THE STANDARDS CONTAINED THEREIN FOR THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE AND RELATED FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE CITY. (APPENDIX E — DOWNTOWN DISTRICT AMENITIES) .. % Y Y % WHER�AS, consistent with APPENDIX B "Subdivisions", Sectiov V(h), of The City Code of the City of Friendswood, the City of Friendswood Design Criteria Manual shall be updated fi•om time to tiine and adopted by Resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need for updating the City of Friendswood Design Criteria Manual to provide for the most current and cofnprehensive sCandards covering the design, construction, and insCallation of public infi•astxucture and related improvements within the City; and WH�RFAS, the changes approved hereto pertain to Appendix E — Downtown District Amenities; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THG CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, T�XAS: Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby fotmd to be true and correct. Section 2. That certain City of Friendswood-Community Development Department "Design Criteria Manlial", dated November 2012, a true and correct copy of whicli is attached hereto as `Bxhibit A" and for all things made a part hereof, is hereby adopted. The standards and related documents contained and refen•ed to therein shall control and are hereby established as minimum design, consnuction, and installation standards for certain public infrastructure and related improvements within the City of Priendswood, Texas, for City projects and subdivision and other related development. In the event of conflict between any provision of the Design Criteria Manual and any ordinance of the City, or between the Design Criteria Manual and any condition of plat or developinent approval imposed by the City, the provisions of any such ordinance or term or condiCion of approval shall control. Section 3. The Director of Commnnity Developinent shall maintain copies of such Design Criteria Manual and related documents, which shall be made available, upon payment of the reasonable costs of publication thereof, to any pei•son requesting same. The Director is fui�ther directed to periodically evaluate and review such standards and, when deemed necessaiy and appropriate, recommend changes to City Council. Section 4. All other resolutions adopting prior versions of the Design Criteria Manual or any resolution inconsistent or in conflict herewith, are, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, hereby repealed.
