AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF SAID
CITY TO INCLUDE ALL OF THE TERRITORY WITHIN CERTAIN
LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF
FRIEND5WOOD ALL OF THE TERRITORY WITHIN SUCH LIMITS
AND BOUNDARIES; CONTAIlvING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING
TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING A SAVING AND SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS:
Secti��n1. The boundaries and limits of the City of Friendswood, Texas, are hereby
extended to embrace and include all of the following described territory, containing 58.70 acres
of land, more or less, such territory being more particularly described by metes and bounds in
E�ibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. Such territory is hereby annexed to and
made a part of the City.
Sectinu�2. The plan for extension of municipal services into the territory annexed to
the City of Friendswood, by the provisions of this Ordinance, is set forth in the "Municipal
Service Plan" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes. Such Municipal Service
Plan is hereby approved.
Sectin�3. If any section or part of this Ordinance be held unconstitutional, illegal, or
invalid, or the application thereof ineffective or inapplicable as to any territory, such
unconstitutionality, illegality, invalidity, or ineffectiveness of such section or part shall in no
wise affect, impair, or invalidate the remaining portion or portions thereof, but as to such
remaining portion or portions, the same shall be and remain in full force and effect; and should

this Ordinance for any reason be ineffective as to any part of the territory hereby annexed to the
City of Friendswood, such ineffectiveness of this Ordinance as to any such part or parts of any
such territory shall not affect the effectiveness of this Ordinance as to all of the remainder of
such territory or area, and the City Council hereby declares it to be its purpose to annex to the
City of Friendswood every part of the territory described in Section 1 of this Ordinance,
regardless of whether any other part of such described territory is hereby effectively annexed to
the Ciry. Provided, further, if there is included in the general description of territory set out in
Section 1 of this Ordinance to be hereby annexed to the City of Friendswood any territory which
is already a part of and included within the general limits of the City of Friendswood, or which
is presently part of and included in the lunits or extraterritorial jurisdiction of any other city,
town, or village, or which is not within the City of Friendswood's jurisdiction to annex, the
same is hereby excluded and excepted from the territory to be annexed hereby as fully � if such
excluded and excepted territory were especially and specifically described herein.

All that certaul tract ar parcel of land beiilg located and situated in the AUGUST WHITLOCK
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 793, and the ROBERT WILSON SURVEY,ABSTRACT NO. 88,
Hairis County, Texas, and being a part of those certain two tracts or parcels of land described as
TRACT 2 and TRACT 3 as conveyed by Boundbrook Enterprises, Inc.,to Clearfield Realty, Inc.,
by instrument dated September 21, 1983, and recorded at Harris County Clerk's File No.
J171863, Film Code 060-97-1729, and further being a part of that same certain tract or parcel of
land described ii� City of League City Ordinance No. 86-76,AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS, TO EMBRACE
AND INCLUDE TERRITORY WITHIN CERTAIN BOUNDARIES IN THE
EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS, SOUTH
OF F.M. 528, said part being inore particularly described as follows;
COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of that certain Houston Lighting&Power Company
80 foot wide fee strip as described in deed recorded at Harris County Clerk's File No. F336215,
the same being the most Southeasterly corner of that certain 185 foot wide fee strip conveyed to
Baybrook Municipal Utility District No. 1 by instrument recorded at Harris County Clerk's File
No. P621465, said point further being at the West right-of-way line of Wilson Avenue, a 60 foot
public roadway right-of-way;
THENCE S 84°47'10"W, along the North line of said Houston Lighting&Power Company fee
strip and with the South line of said Baybrook Municipal Utility District No. 1 fee strip, a
distance of 796.91 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 00°26'S0" W, along and with the West line of said Baybrook Municipal Utility
District No. 1 fee strip, a distance of 1586 feet, more or less,to a point for corner being at the
South line of the ROBERT WILSON SURVEY,Abstract#88,the same being the North line of
the JOHN DICKINSON SURVEY,Abstract#15, said point being the POINT OF
BEGINNING of the herein described tract;
THENCE S 87°14'23"W, along and with said common swvey line, a distance of 1775 feet,
more or less, to a point for corner being the point of intersection of said line with the existing city
limit line of the City of League City as described in the aforesaid City of League City Ordinance
No. 86-76;
THENCE N 49°15'30"E, along and with said existing city limit line, a distance of 230 feet,
more or less, to a point for angle to the left;
THENCE N 08°47'15" W, continuing along and with said city limit line, a distance of 1580 feet,
inore or less,to a point for corner being at the Southerly right-of-way line of Texas State F.M.
Highway 528, a 120 foot public roadway riglrt-of-way;

of 800 feet to a point for corner being at the West line of the aforesaid Baybrook Municipal
Utility District No. 1 fee strip;
THENCE S 08°47'15"E, along and with said West line, a distance of 522 feet, more or less,to
a point for angle to the right;
THENCE S 00°26'S0"E, a distance of 794 feet, more or less,to the POINT OF BEGINNING
and containing a calculated area of 58.7 acres of land, more ar less.
