and WHEREAS,after receiving the recommendations of the Commission as well the input received at the public hearings,the City Council desires(i)to amend the Plan to update the Future Land Use Map to better reflect future development within the boundaries of the City and (ii) to amend the Official Zoning Map consistent with the amendment to the Plan;and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Friendswood City Code and all applicable laws, the City Council has determined that all public notices have been posted and published and all required hearings on this matter have been held;and WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that this ordinance, together with the public hearing conducted,complies with the applicable provisions of the City Charter,City Code and all other applicable laws;and WHEREAS,the City Council deems it appropriate to approve the proposed amendments, subject to applicable regulations, restrictions,and exceptions contained herein;NOW THEREFORE, 2 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,STATE OF TEXAS: Section 1. Section 4. This ordinance shall in no manner amend, change, supplement or revise any provision of any ordinance of the City of Friendswood,save and except the changes described in Sections 2 and 3 hereinabove. Section 5. A violation of this ordinance is subject to the penalty provisions contained in Section 1-14 of the Friendswood City Code and as otherwise provided by law. Any person who shall 3 intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence fail to comply with any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed TWO THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($2,000.00). Each act of violation and each day upon which any such violation shall occur shall constitute a separate offense. Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict or inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed. Section 7. In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, provision, sentence, or part of this ordinance or the application of the same to any person or circumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect, impair, or invalidate this ordinance as a whole or any part or provision hereof other than the part declared to be invalid or unconstitutional;and the City Council of the City of Friendswood,Texas,declares that it would have passed each and every part of the same notwithstanding the omission of any such part thus declared to be invalid or unconstitutional,or whether there be one or more parts. Section 8. The City Secretary shall give notice of the enactment of this ordinance by promptly publishing the caption of this ordinance after final passage in the official newspaper of the City. Section 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon its publication. This month's program was presented by Debbie Griffith whose topic was An Open Time Capsule into the Lives of Archaic Native Americans Along the Coastal Bend. Griffith talked about the finds at an ongoing excavation site, the McNeill Ranch, locat- ed near an abandoned channel or oxbow eight miles outside of Victoria, TX. The site covers 16 acres. Ar- chaeologists dig down 10 centimeters at a time with the deepest being 8 feet, the deeper the older. Ac- cording to Griffith, artifacts have been found dating back 9,000 years. Thousands of shells have been re- covered along with tools made from the shells such as scrapers, hammers, and drills, weights for nets, spoons, and jewelry. Griffith stated the shell artifacts record a three-dimensional past: Past geography and environment such as sea level change, Native Indi- an settlement patterns, and Past natural habitats. To recertify, members must have 8 hours of advanced training and 40 volunteer hours. Alcance del Proyecto El proyecto consiste en el equipamiento completo y la instalackin de equipos de cocina comercial dentro del Edificio Multiprop6sito de FAF, incluyendo, entre otros: • Adquisici6n a instalaci6n de equipos de cocina comercial • Integraci6n, conexi6n y puesta en marcha de sistemas mecsnicos, electricos y de plomerfa, con aprobaci6n de inspecci6n por parte de la Ciudad • Adecuaci6n final conforme al c6digo de las instalaciones existentes de la cocina • Coordinaci6n con todas las inspecciones y requisitos regulatorios aplicables.
