PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION: POSSIBLE ENHANCED CAFE AREA:
Rebecca Hillenburg presented an idea to the board to enhance the café area based on a café in a
bookstore that Rebecca and Laurie Foreman went to in Colorado. Matt mentioned that reference
is going to do an informal survey to see if patrons are interested in a café. Mike thought staffing
would be an issue but the library would take proposals from vendors. The cafe would not be run
by staff. Jo Beth suggested some visuals or drawings of plans, with possibly a Phase 1 with just
drinks and a Phase II with food. Matt said he would have to get with the city attorney about
having a profit business in a non-profit city building.
