A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, GALVESTON/HARRIS COUNTIES, AWARDING
BID NO. 2010-12 AND DESIGNATING THE
FRIENDSWOOD JOURNAL AS THE OFFICIAL CITY
NEWSPAPER.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Article XI, Section 11.02, of The City Charter of the
City of Friendswood, the City Council shall contract with and designate by Resolution, a public
newspaper of general circulation in the city, to serve as the official newspaper for the city; and
WHEREAS, the City shall cause to be published therein all ordinances, notices and other
matter required by this Charter, by the ordinances of the City, or by the constitution and/or laws
of the State of Texas to be published;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, that Friendswood Journal is hereby declared to be the official
newspaper of the City of Friendswood for publication of all Ordinances, Legal Notices and other
matters required by the Charter, by the Ordinances of the City, or by the Constitution and/or
Laws of the State of Texas to be published. The Mayor is authorized to execute any
documentation necessary to contract with the Friendswood Journal for said purpose.
