ADA COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 23, 1993
PRESENT:
Martha Gillett, ADA Committee Chairman
Roger Roecker, Director of Administrative Services
David Hoover, Chief Building Official/City Planner
Jon Branson, Parks and Recreation Director
The meeting was called to order by ADA Chairman, Martha Gillett, at 10:00
a.m. , in the City Hall Council Chambers.
The committee discussed the reports from Workability regarding recent site
surveys of all City facilities.
The committee discussed finalizing the transition plan. David Hoover
volunteered to complete the finalization and prepare an official transition
plan to be approved by the City Manager. V
The committee agreed that discussion on a Public Hearing should be postponed
until a transition plan was adopted and prioritized.
Jon Branson will request bids/estimates on building a new sidewalk at City
Hall. The sidewalk would run from the back parking lot to the front of the
building.
In addition, Jon Branson will also request bids/estimates on making the
restrooms in City Hall comply with ADA regulations.
Martha Gillett will notify Southwestern Bell of all pay phones at City
buildings and request they update them with new equipment to ensure
compliance with ADA regulations.
Roger Roecker will be responsible for approving and advising on all
financial matters related to ADA compliance.
David Collins will need to provide the committee with an update on alarms at
all City facilities, at the next ADA meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
