{ FRIENDSWOOD BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 26TH, 1993
Call to Order. The Bicycle Advisory Committee met on the
above date at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall. In attendance
were Tony LeCara, Chairman, Sandy McHone, Barbara Fawcett,
Todd Yeager, Joe Tennison, Mel Measeles and Melinda Wasson.
July 22nd Minutes. The minutes were approved as printed.
Report from Chair. Tony discussed the Bicycle Advocate's
Action Kit which Todd ordered. Tony said at least half of
the activities listed on page 3 are underway in Friendswood.
Urban/Suburban Bicycle Street Compatibility Evaluation.
Tony reviewed the forms and said he had completed the rating
in the south area of town and has concluded few streets in
the City will be rated higher than a 2. Discussion followed
on what to be looking for out in the field.
The spreadsheet design was reviewed and the members were
given copies of the proposed spreadsheet.
f, New Business from Committee Members. Todd passed out copies
of the Bicycle Advocate's Action Kit, Surface Transportation
Policy Project Resource Guide and Bicyclist Advocacy
Bulletin. Mel discussed the proposed Committee budget for
1993-94 and asked if $1, 000. 00 will cover all expenses.
Todd felt with postage and copying it would.
Adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 8: 30 p.m.
