Meeting Minutes
January 26, 1995
Call to Order. The Bicycle Advisory Committee met on the above date at 7:15 p.m.
in the City Hall. In attendance were Joe Tennison, Barbara Fawcett, Shari
Warminski, Mel Measeles, Bruce Cunningham, Mike McNabb, and Todd Yeager .
December 8 Minutes. The minutes were not available.
Report from Chair. Nothing new to report.
Election of Officers. Mel reviewed the bylaws regarding members and offices. A
copy of the bylaws were given to all. Election of officers was planned for
February 23rd meeting.
Alternate Committee Members. Discussed recomending Bruce and Mike as regular
members to replace Melinda and Joe. Joe will become an alternate. Melinda is
moving and will not be able to serve on the committee.
Parks Master Plan. Discussed the Hike and Bike trails at the sports complex.
The Committee suggested that the trails should be wide enough to accommodate both
pedestrian and bike traffic together.
Bicycle Ramble. Discussed tying the Ramble to another event such as the July 4th
celebration. The committee will continue to look into such possibilities.
Future Projects. Future projects for consideration are: ISTEA reapplication,
Workshop Attendance (ISTEA) , Police on Bikes, Bike Rodeo, Bike Helmet Promo with
Police Department.
Next Meeting. Next meeting will be February 23rd 1995. Some items for the
agenda are: Election of officers, Committee Appointments, Bike Ramble/Rodeo,
ISTEA Projects, and Helmet use program.
Adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
