THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, CALLING AND ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
NOVEMBER 7, 2000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A COUNCILMAN FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM
ENDING MAY 2003; DESIGNATING THE POLLfNG PLACES AND APPOiNT1NG ELECTION OF�1CiALS FOR
SUCH SPECIAL ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR THE FORM OF THE BALLOT AT SUCH SPECIAL ELECTION;
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE

CITY FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR AS REFLECTED IN SAID BUDGET, AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND
CONTAINING CERTAIN PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.

COLLECTION OF AD VALOREM TAXES OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 2000
AND FOR EACH YEAR THEREAFTER UNTIL OTHERWISE PROVIDED; PROVIDING THE DATE ON WHICH
SUCH TAXES SHALL SE DUE AND PAYABLE; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY AND INTEREST O(V ALLSAXES
NOT TIMELY PAID; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH ANQ TO APPROVE THE TAX RATE OF .6385 WITH .0838 FOR DEBT SERVICE.

AND FOR EACH YEAR THEREAFTER UNTIL OTHERWISE PROVIDED; PROVIDING THE DATE ON WHICH
SUCH TAXES SHALL BE DUE AND PAYABLE; PROVIDING FOR OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT AND TO
APPROVE THE TAX RATE OF .6385 WITH .5547 TO FUND MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION
EXPENDITURES.

ADDING A NEW SUBSEC710N M., COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES AND OUTDOOR SALES. DISCUSSION
COfVTINUED REGARDING SUSINESS ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES, ACTIVITIES ON C1TY PROPERTY
EXEMPT AND NON PROFIT SALES, CRAFT SHOWS, PROCEDURES FOR PERMITTING HEALTH AND
CLEAN UP, OUTSIDE SALES NOT ASSOCIATED WITH PERMANENT BUILDINGS, USE OF PARKING LOTS,
REVENUES FOR OWNER, DURATION, TIMES, CHRlSTMAS TREE SA�ES, PERMITS, LOCATIONS,
VENDORS, FEES, INSURANCE, PARKING AS A SAFETY FACTOR, CRAFT SALES, ADDING VERBAGE
SUBJECT TO STAFF APPROVAL, ALLOWiNG CITIZENS THE RIGHT TO BUY iN FRIENDSWOOD FROM
VENDORS, AND DEFINITIONS MORE DEFINED I.E. "SPECIAL EVENT".
