P. 2
Anne Talbot will be the 4th of July Historian.
Alternate plans in case of rain were discussed but it was
felt that having a rain date would not be effective. Since
it rained only twice on the 4th of July in the past 15 or 20
years it was decided to have the celebration on the Fourth
with no rain date predetermined.
Fourth of. July letterhead will be ordered after the theme
has be selected.
The address of the Fourth of July Committee is P.O. Box 00
Friendswood, Tx. 77546.
There were requests .from "strolling" commercial vendors to
sell items along the parade route. After a brief discussion
the committee decided to keep the "down home" flavor to Friends-
wood's .parade by directing the vendors to "stroll" in Steven-
son Park.
The planting of the birm in Stevenson Park is a Sesquicentennial
project and will be handled by the Sesquicentennial Coordinating
Committee.
