FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOOD TEXAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT CONSTITUTING A QUORUM: MAYOR HAROLD L. WHITAKER MAYOR PRO TEM MEL MEASELES COUNCII,MEMBER KITTEN HAJECATE COUNCII,MEMBER LARRY TAYLOR CITY MANAGER RON COX CITY SECRETARY DELORIS MCKENZIE MAYOR WHITAKER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. MAYOR WFiITAKER AND MR. BILL FINGER, CHAIR OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION CALLED A JOINT DOCKETED PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMbIENTS, EITHER ORAI� OR WRITTEN, REGARDING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE 84-15, BUILDING HEIGHTS. MR. TOMMY RIVES APPEAF2ED BEFORE COUNCIL TO EXPRESS HIS CONCERNS REGARDING THE HEIGHT ORDINANCE, AND RECOML��NDED ADDITIONAL HEIGHTS BE CONSIDERED IF BUILDING ON ACREAGE AND URGED COUNCIL CONSIDER GOING BACK TO THE ANGLE FOR MEASUREMENT FOR HEIGHTS, OTHERWISE, HE WAS IN FAVOR OF THE HEIGHT ORDINANCE. MR. CHARLES ANDERS ASKED IF THE HEIGHT ORDINANCE APPLIES TO PUD FOR RESIDENTIAL OR CONIIVIERCIAL WITH MR. FINGER ADVISING IT APPLIES TO BOTF�. NO ONE SPOKE IN OPPOSITION. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGAFtDING WHY THE HEIGHT WAS SET AT 35 FEET OVERALL, AND WHY THE MINIMUM SET BACK APPLICATION. HEARING NO FURTHER COM[�NTS, THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.
