MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL, THAT WAS HELD ON
JULY 19, 1999 AT 6:30 PM AT THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY HALL, COCTNCIL CHAMSERS, 910
SOUTH FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT

MAYOR WHITAKER CALLED THE MEETZNG TO ORDER.
DISCUSSION WAS HELD WITH THE PLANNING AND ZONZNG COMMZSSION MEMBER MARK CLARK
REGARDING REVISIONS TO BUILDING HEIGHT REGULATIONS IN ZONING ORDINANCE 84-15.
DISCUSSION CONTINUED REGARDING A REVISION TO THE SECTION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
THAT GOVERNS THE HEIGHT OF BUILDING, AMENDING BUILDING HEZGHTS, SET BACKS,
RESIDENTIAL AREAS, 35 FEET IN HEIGHT OR LESS, HAVE THE CITY ATTORNEY REWORK THE
ORDINANCE AND PROCEED WITH A PUBLIC HEARING.
DISCUSSION WAS HELD WITH WASTE MANAGEMENT REGARDING THE CONTRACT WITH WASTE
�MANAGEMENT FOR REE'CJSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES, RECYCLING COLLECTION, AND
REBATE OF RECYCLING MONEY. DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ROGER ROECKER,
AND WASTE MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVES MR. MIKE STUMPH, AND MR. THANE HARRISON
DISCUSSED PROPOSED RENEWAL OF THE CONTRACT WITH ADDING PICK UP OF YARD CLIPPINGS
(GREEN WASTE) WHICH WILL DIVERT FROM LAND FILL, USING CLEAR TRANSLUCENT BAGS,
CURBSIDE RECYCLING, NEW RESIDENTIAL FEES, COt�RCIAL FEES, FRANCHISE FEE,
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES, REVENUE, RECYCLING REBATE AND CONA�RCIAL SERVICE.
A MOTION WAS MADE AND APPRO�IED TO ADJOURN AT 8:05 PM.
