DISCIISSION V�IAS HELD RSGARDING THE PIPELINE SAFETY COMMITTFsE. MR. BEN MALSFC,
CHAIRMAN OF THE PIPELINE SAFETY COMMITTEE, REVIEWED THE GOALS OF THE COMMITTEE,
DISCIISSED EXXON PIPELINE COMPANY'S CONSTRIICTION PROJECT, RIGHT OF WAY, SIZE OF
PIPS, PSI RATING, MONITORING AND INSPECTION, TEXAS 1-CALL PROGRAM AND OTHER CALL
SYSTEMS, REVIEWED IN HOUSE MAPPING SYSTEM, SIIRFACE INSPECTION OF ALL PIPELINES
IN OPER.ATION IN FRIENDSWOOD, REPORTED THEY HAVE REVIEWED TAE NORTHERN CORRIDOR,
VIDEO TAPSD THF AREA, REVIEWED OIL AND GAS PIPELINES ORDINANCES, DISCIISSED RIGFiT
OF WAY REQIIIREMENTS, AND REPORTED THEY MEET THS FIRST TIIESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT
7:30 AT THE PIIBLIC SAFSTY BIIILDING.
DISCIISSION WAS HELD REGARDING RECOMMENDATIONS FROM PLANNING AND ZONING ON
PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE SIIBDIVISION ORDINANCE REGARDING SIDEWALKS. MR. BILL
FINGER, CHAIR OF THE PLANNING AND ZaN2NG COMMISSION APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL AND
DISCIISSED IINIFORMITY REGARDING SIDEWALKS, AND SIIGGESTED A LOOR AT THE ORDINANCE
TO MEET A.D.A. REQIIIREMENT.
DISCIISSION WAS HELD REGARDING RECObII�tEN'DATIONS FROM PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
ON PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE ENTRYWAY-OVERLAY ORDINANCE REGARDING RESIDENTIAL
SCREENING. MR. BILL FINGER, CHAIR OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION APPEARED
BEFORE COUNCIL AND DISCIISSED RESIDENTIAL SCREENING AS AN AMENDMENT TO THE
ORDINANCE.
DISCIISSION WAS HELD RFGARDING DRAFT POLICY PLANNING STATEMENTS PREPARED AT THS
CODNCIL/STAFF PLANNING RETREAT. COIINCIL DISCIISSED TFiE VARIOIIS POLICY STATEMENTS
SIICH AS LAND IISE, TECHNOLOGY, PIIBLIC SAFETY, AND FACILITIES AND THE PiTRPOSE &
SCOPE AND POLICIES OF THESfi ITEMS. COIINCILMEMBERS BRIZENDINE AND ERICSSON WILL
WORK WITH CITY MANAGSR COX ON THE WORDING FOR EQIIALITY AND QIIALITY SCHOOLS.
