MORRIS, DIRECTOR OF THE GAL`IES7.'ON COUNTY PUBLIG HEALTH DISTRICT APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL AND GAVE A REPOR'P OF THE SERVICES AND ACTNITIES �F THE DISTRICT. DR. MORRIS ALSO REPORTEU ON THE SUCCESSES OF THE DISTRICT STNCE 1981, STATED THERE IS A 9 NiEMBER BOARI) WITH A BUDGET OF 14 MILLION AND HAS 350 FULL AND PART TIME EMPLOYEES. COUNCILMEMBER HA�JECATE URGED GETTING THIS INFORMATION INTO THE NEWSPAPERS. CITY MANAGER COK REL'ORTED ON THE JUNE Z4 H-GAE: MEETING EOR NEWLY ELECTED � � MEMBERS OF COUNCTL AND STATED THAT HE IS SCHEDULED TO MAKE A PRESENTATION DURING THIS MEETING. MR. COX ALSO RE]PORTED ON THE HARRIS COUNTY CHILi7 SAFETY FEE AND THAT THE CITY HAS RECEIVED $11,449 FOR THE PERIOI� FEBRUARY 1996 THROUGH MI�X 1997. MR. COX REPOR�Ell THAT TH� CITY OF' F�2IENDSWOOD NEW COUNCILMEMBER ORIENTATION IS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 13. CITY MANAGER COX LASTLY REPORTED ON THE TCI CABLE PROPOSAL FOR SYSTEM AND STATED THAT IT IS ATTACHED TO HIS REPORT FOR COUNCIL'S REVII�'W. COUNCILMEMBER DI:CKEY ASKED ABOUT THE STA�[TS OF TCI AND THE CITY'S ACTION I WITH MR. COX RE.�.iPONDING THAT HE FEELS AN APPEAL IS IMMINENT.
