CITY MANAGER COX EXPLAINED THE RF.ASON F'OR THE PUSLIC HEARING AND THAT THE
CITY IS NOT HAPPY WITFI THE LEVEL OF SERVICE AND THE FIBER OPTIC ISSUE.
JILL MACK OF T.CI STATED THAT TCI IS BET.NG MORE RESPON5IVE AND IS VERY
ENCOURAGED BY THE TURN AROUND OF THE COMPANY, AND WILL CONTINUE TO WORK TO
GIVE BETTER SERVICE AND HOPE THE CITY WI:LL STICK WI�Fi THE COMPANY DURING THE
UPGRADING.
MR. GEORGE WAT'.L'LE STATED THAT CABLE WARNER PROVIDES A GREATER NUMBER OF
CHANNELS AND IS STILL OPEN TO OTHER CABLE COMPANIES COMING TO TOWN.
DISCUSS�ON WAS IiELD BY COUNCIL REGARDING THE UPGRADE TO DIGITAL COMPRESSION,
THE INCREASE IN CABLE RATES, THE CONVER`�OR BOX, AND `i'HE ADI�ITSONAL COST FOR
THE BOX.

YARBROUGH AND THAT EVELYN NEWMAN IS A HARD MAYOR TO FOLLOW. MAYQR WHITAKER
ALSO �TATED THAT IT IS AN HONOR AND A RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ELECTED MAYOR,
WANTS TO BE A MAYOR FOR EVERYONE, WANTS TO LEAD AND EMPOWER AND PLEDGED THE
HIGHEST LEVEL OF INTEGRITY, WANTS TO DEVELOP THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF UNITY, IS
