FOLLOWED REGARD:CNG CON�ERNS THAT WERE SUBMITTED SUCH AS STREET LIGHTS,
PARKING, BURGLARY, VANDALISM, POLI.CE VI5IBILI`1�Y, GANG ACTIVITIES, AND
SELLING ALCOHOL T0 MINORS.

ACRES LOCATED QN FM 528 AT CYPRESS POINT DRIVE FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL TO COMMUNITY SHOPPING CENTER.
MS. NANCY KESSLING APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL AND STATED THAT SHE DOES NOT
UNDERSTAND THE NEED TO REZONE THIS AREA TO CQMMERCIAL WITH DAVID SMITH,
AGENT/OWNER, STATING THAT HE IS UNABLE TO SELL THIS PROPEI2TY DUE TO THE
LOCATION, SIZE, AND SHAPE BECAUSE IT I�� PRES�NTLY ZONED AS SINGLE FAMILY

APPROXIMATELY $9,000 WHICH HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM HARRIS COUNTY AND MUST BE
USED IN H1�IRRIS COUNTY, WILL BE USED FOR FLASHING SCHOOL 70NE SIGNALS AT
WEDGEWOOD WITH CAPTAIN HOLLAND RECEIVING QUOTES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
THESE LIGHTS, TIiE NEW KEY RATE PUBLICATION HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED AND THE
CITY'S 22 CENT RATE IS PUBLISHED IN IT, AND REPORT.ED ON TCI CABLE AND THEIR
OFFER TO PROVIDE DIGITAL COMPRESSION IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF 1997 FOR THE
ALVIN/F'RIENDSWOOD SERVICE AREA. DIGITAL COMPRESSION IS FINE AS A STOP GAP,
WILL PROVTDE MORE CHANNELS FOR SELECTION BUT IT WILL NOT PROVIDE A BETTER
