DISCUSSION WAS HELn k2EGARDING THE ACTUAL FORECAST, ' STAFFING, ELIMINATING THE PLANNER POSITION, EVALUATION AND MERIT PAY, PRIVATIZING, AND ADDING STREET LIGHT AND INSTALLATION IN THE BUDGET. THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBER5 DISCUS5ED MEMBERSHTPS, SPECIAL SERVICES, AND YOUTH PROGRAMS IN THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL BUDGET. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING THAT THE POSITION A5SISTANT TO THE CITY P�IANAGER BE COMBINED WITH RISK SAFETY WITH THE ENTRY LEVEL SALARY TO BE $25 TO $26 THOUSAND PER YEAR, THE $39,126 INCREASE IN BENEFITS PREMIUM, THE ''�� �', NEWSLETTER INCREASED TO 3 TIMES PER YEAR, ECONOMIC DEVELdPMENT, THE CHAMBER ; CONTRACT, OVERTIME WAGES, AND ADDITIONAL OUTSIDE LEGAL SERVTCES. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING THE CITY SECRETARY OFFICE, TYPEWRITER, MICROPHONE SYSTEM WITH DIRECTIONAL TA$LE �'IOUNT, OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER, ELECTION (COMBINING POLLING PLACES) , SCHEDULE OF 7�1DDITIONAL PERSONNEL, REDUCTION ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, RISIC MANAGEMENT, RISK AND SAFETY SPECIALIST, NEY+T POSITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,941, REMOVE CITY PLANNER POSITION, FEMA, CRS PROGRAM, ZEROED OUT CLOVER ACRES DRAINAGE, POLICE DEPARTMENT OVERTIME AND QTHER DEPARTMENTS' OVERTTME. A SHORT RECESS WAS TAKEN AT 7:30 P.M. COUNCIL RECONVENED AT 7:40 P.M. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING THE STREET PROGF.AA'I, SALES TAX REPORT FROM DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTI2ATIVE SERVICES ROGER ROECKEk�, DISCUSSION OF COUNCILMEMBER LOWE'S DELETE LTST, DISCUSSED PUBLIC WORKS, ADMINISTRATIVE � 973 SERVICES AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, DELETE FU�L STORAGE EQUIPMENT, AELETE RAILROAD SPUR, RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIAI,IST, AND CITY PLANNER. DISCUSSION CONTINUED REGARDING ADDING $25,000 FOR ADDITIONAL SIDEWALKS, BUNKER GEAR WASHING MACHINE FOR $9,000, NEW LOCKERS FQR THE POLTCE DEPARTMENT FOR �4,320, MICROPHONE (HAND-HELD) FOR $1,000, A�ID THE COUNSELING CENTER.
