OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, JON BRANSON, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES,
DOUG KNEUPPER, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, MELVIN MEINECKE, DIRECTOR
OF PUBLIC WORKS, JA12ED STOUT, CHIEF OF POLICE, TERRY BYRD, FIRE MARSHAL,
FRIENDSWOOD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT PRESIDENT MARK GARVIN, DAN KEY FIRE
CHIEF, AND REPORTER AL GREENWOOD FROM THE JOiJRNAL NEWSPAPER.

SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER DICKEY. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR ROGER ROECKER PRESENTED AN OVERVIEW OF THE .
BUDGETING PROCESS, PRESENTED INFORMATION ON TAX RATE, REVENUE PROJECTIONS,
PRESENTED INFORMATION ON HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS WITH 8 PERCENT OF 1,197 CITIES
GIVING EXEMPTIONS AND REPORTED THE CITY HAS AN A-1 RATING.
STAFF BUDGET PRESENTATIONS WERE MADE BY CTZ`Y MANAGER, CITY SECRETARY,
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, POLICE
DEPARTMENT, FIRF? DEPAT2TMENT, FIRE MARSHAL, PUBLIC WORKS, AND COMMUNITY
SERVICES.
COUNCILMEMBER DICKEY LEFT THE MEETING DUE TO A FAMILY EMERGENCY.
