PROJECT STATUS 1/18/93
South Friendswood Interceptor:
Plans for the Force Main. Lift 2t.ation and Gravity System are
all complete and have been submitted to the Texas Water
Commission for review. We expect. to hear form the £WC any
® day on the Force Main and ;haft: Station and hope to able to
advertise for bids during uebruery. There two contracts
should be complete within sJ.x months . We expect the entire
project to be complete by the end of 2993 . The estimated
project cost for this project is $2 . 9 million.
Shadwell Parking Lot at Stevenson Park:
This project is under construction and is approximately

10 °ice complete . Contract is for 90 days and will provide new
asphalt roadway and parking spaces along Shadwell Drive .
Friendswood Link Road Sidewalk:
Recently completed.
F.M. 518 Sidewalk, Shadwell to Spreading Oaks :
. (;) Plans for this sidewalk are complete and advertising for bids
will begin this week with construction slated for mid
February.
Water Line Extensions :
Water line extensions are proposed for Rancho Viejo Sec. :k.
I` and various locations on Blackhawk Blvd as the first contract

to be let for this year. Other extensions that are planned
include Lundy Lane/Eldorado and .
1992-93 Street Program:
Streets to be replaced this year include Winding Way from 528
0 to 518 . Stonesthrow, Cedarwood from Stonesthrow to Spreading
Oaks . and Mary Ann from Avondale to Castleiake. The
surveying for these projects has been recently completed and
plans are to have the project. under construction by May of
this year.
Overlay projects to be performed by Galveston County include
Rancho Viejo East, E. Castlewood/Quaker Bend, East Spreading
O
Oaks , Winding Way from Oak Drive to Leisure Lane , Melody
Lane , Rustic Lane , Falling Leaf from Greenhriar to Wilderness
Trails Subdivision, and Myrtiewood.
Drainage Master Plan: Work on this plan , being prepared by
Claunch and Miller, is approximately 50 complete. Work to
1111 date has been to inventory the entire storm sewer system
within the City and compile this information in the computer
mapping system. The next phase will be to identify problem
areas and analyze for proposed solutions .
