AS A RESULT, CITY MANAGER COX STATED, MAYOR NEWMAN WRQTE THE CONGRESSIONAL REP'RESENTA�IVES ASKING THEM TO DEVELOP LEGISLATION THAT WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM FOR THE FUTURE AND NOW AWAIT TO SEE VJHAT WILL HA.PPEN. CITY MANAGER COX ALSO REPORTED ON CHANGE ORDER NO. 2- SOUTH FRIENDSWOUD WASTEWATER DIVERSIONS, A�ID REMINDED COUNCIL THAT IN HIS LAST CITY MANAGE?R'S REPORT, HE REPORTED A CHANGE ORDER OF L'ESS THAN $5,000 ,�, AND INDICATED THAT THIS WOULD BE THE ON'LY CHANGE ORDER. CITY MANAGER COX STATED THAT THIS WAS WRONG; THIS CHANGE ORDER WAS TO APPROVE THE ACTUAL AMOUNT OF LINEAR FEET OF BORE CONSTRUCTION IN THE WASTEWATER DIVERSIQN PROJECT AND THAT THE ADDITIONAL BORING OCCURRED IN TWO DIFFERENfi LOCATIONS--ONE ]:N EAGLE LAKES AND ONE IN FALCON RIDGE AND THESE REFLECT ACTUAL LINEAR FEET OF BORING. CITY MANAGER COX FURTHER STATED THE FALCON RIDGE BORE WAS RELOCATED AND EXTENDED TO AVOID TEARING UP AN INDIVIDUAI:'S DRIVEWAY, AVOIDI:NG THE DISREPAIR AND INCONVENIENCE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER. CITY MANAGER COX REPORTED THAT THE CHANGE ORDER AMOUNTED TO $2,184. COUNCILMEMBER LOWE ASKED IF THE CITY HAS AUTHORITY TO STOP EXXON FROM CHANGING THEIR PIPELINE PRODUCT FROM CRUDE OIL TO ETHANE WITH THE CITY ATTORNEY ADVISING HE WOULD HAVE TO CHECK.
