NEWMAN MAYOR PRO-TEM KITTEN HAJECATE COUNCILMEMBER TOM MANISON COUNCILMEMBER ED STUART COUNCILMEMBER HAROLD RALEY COUNCTLMEMBER JANIS LOWE CITY MANAGER RON COX CITY SECRETARY DELORIS MCKENZIE ABSENT FROM THE COUNCIL MEETING WAS COUNCILMEMBER MEL MEASELES. MAYOR NEWMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER . COUNCILMEMBER STUART ANNOUNCED THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE CLEAR CREEK REGIONAL FLOOD STUDY WTLL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY AT PEARLAND CITY HALL AT 7 :00 PM. MAYOR NEWMAN REPORTED THAT CLEAR CREEK DRAINAGE DISTRICT HAS RECEIVED THE LONG AWAITED PERMIT FOR THE CHIGGER CREEK PROJECT. COUNCILMEMBER MANISON REPORTED THAT EXXON/FRIENDSWOOD DEVELOPMENT IS SENDING OUT ADVERTISING USING THEIR SUBDIVISION NAME AND NOT FRIENDSWOOD . � COUNCILMEMBER LOWE REPORTED THE COMMITTEE TS WORKING ON '�THE GATHERING" AND EXPECTS APPROXIMATELY 1200 TO ATTEND AND ANNOUNCED THE FUNCTION WILL BE HELD AT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ON JULY 3RD . A LENGTHY DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING DRAINAGE PRIORITIES WITH CONSULTANT CLAUNCH & MILLER . COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR JIMMY THOMPSON PRESENTED THE REVISED LIST OF TWENTY PRIORITY AREAS FOR COUNCIL �S CONSIDERATION. THE TWENTY PROPOSED PRIORITY AREAS ARE WOODLAWN STORM SEWER-OUTFALLS AT SPREADING OAKS , BRIARMEADOW DITCH-OUTFALLS @ MERRIWOOD-SERVES MILLS, MURPHY, BRIARMEADOW AREA , SUNSET SOUTH DITCH FROM MILLS TO COWARDS CREEK, OUTFALL FROM HIGH SCHOOL-GREENBRIAR TO COWARDS CREEK, WTLDERNESS TRAILS/GLENSHANNON OUTFALL , FALCON RIDGE I OUTFALL, MISSION ESTATES OUTFALL , CARMEL VILLAGE OUTFALL AT SAN JOAQUIN PARKWAY, SUNMEADOWS MAIN OUTF'ALL, GARDEN DRIVE DITCH AT W. MAYOR NEWMAN REQUESTED COUNCILMEMBER STUART , CITY MANAGER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR WORK WITH HER TO BRING BACK A RECOMMENDATION REGARDrNG LOCATION AND SIZE OF FACILTTY FOR COUNCIL ' S REVIEW . C�UNCIL DISCUSSED VARYING CONCEPTS FOR A NEW CITY HALL RANGING FROM BIGGER , PRETTIER , BRICK , TRAAITIONAL , . FUNCTIONAL , COMFORTAHLE , TWO STORY SOUTHERN STYLE WITH WALK AREA AND BALCONIES AND PARK AREA FOR EMPLOYEES . GOUNCII�MEMBER STUART STATED WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE INPUT FROM COUNCIL AND STAFF AND REPORTED HE AND CITY MANAGER TOURED PEARLAND CITY HALL AND HAS ACQUIRED THEIR PLANS FOR COUNCIL ' S REVIEW . COUNCILMEMBER STUART STATED CITY HALL NEEDS A SPACE FOR COUNCIL AND A CONFERENCE ROOM WHICH COULD BE USED BY STAFF . MAYOR NEWMAN STATED THE COMMITTEE WOULD LOOK AT THE PLANS AND STAFF INFUT THAT WAS GATHERED FOR A CITY HALL BY A PREVIOUS COMMITTEE . MOTION MADE AND APPROVED FOR ADJOURNMENT AT $ : �5 P .
