COUNCILMEMBER MANISON REPORTED HE IS BACK TO DRIVING TODAY AFTER HIS HEART ATTACK AND HIS CONTINUING TO DO WELL . COUNCILMEMBER HAJECATE REPORTED ON ATTENDING PROJECTION GRADUATZON AT CLEARBROOK HIGH SCHOOL WITH MAYOR NEWMAN AND EXPRESSED HER PLEASURE WITH THE TURN OUT FOR THEIR AWARDS BANQUET . MAYOR NEWMAN ANNOUNCED THE SENIOR CITIZENS WILL BE MEETING AT THE ATRIUM BUILDING UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1 WHEN THE ATRIUM BUILDING WILL BEGIN BEING RENOVATED FOR THE LIBRARY . MAYOR NEWMAN REPORTED THE "CHALLENGE 365" LIBRARY FUNDRAISER HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL WITH A GOAL OF $50 , 000 WITH OVER $ 100 , 000 BEING RAISED AND RECEIVING $100 , 000 FROM THE HOUSTON ENDOWMENT WITH ANOTHER $100 , 000 FOR MATCHING GRANTS UNTIL DECEMBER 1993 • MR . DAN ILLERICH , LIAISON FOR CLOVERFIELD AIRPORT , PRESENTED A UPDATE ON THE CLOVERFIELD MASTER PLAN PHAZE TWO AND PRESENTED A COPY OF THE REPORT TO COUNCIL FOR REVIEW . MR . ROBERT E . SISSELL , JR . , REPRESENTING TEXAS CONFERENCE OF POLICE AND SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION , APPEARED BEFORE COUNC�L TO EXPRESS CONCERNS REGARDING POLICE CHIEF STOUT , CITING COMPLAINTS FROM VARIOUS OFFICEAS REGARDING MORALE , COMPLAINTS OF SEXUAL HARA5SMENT NOT BEING HANDLED , INTIMIDATING , NOT COMPLETELY HONEST IN HIRING PRACTICES , NOT HONEST ON HIS RESUME REGARDING HIS EDUCATION AND RECOMMENDED TERMINATION . MAYOR NEWMAN THANKED MR . SISSELL FOR THIS INFORMATION AND ADVISED COUNCIL WOULD TAKE THIS UNDER CONSIDERATION . CITY MANAGER ' S REPORTED ON THE EPA CLEAN WATER ACT ; ORDER FOR INFORMATION , STORER CABLE CABLE ( TCI ) FRANCHISE AND CHANGE ORDER � 1 TO RANCHO VIEJO I WATERLINE PROJECT IN THE AM�ONT OF $2 , 401 . 40 , REPORTED ON RECEIVING THE PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION PLAN FROM H .G . COUNCIL SUGGESTED PLACING THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION IN THE , NEWSLETTER , ADVISING THE OBSTRUCTION THIS CAUSES . MAYOR NEWMAN STATED SHE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING IN THE NEWSLETTER ABOUT SWEEPING LEAVES INTO THE DRAINS CREATING BACKUP AND RECOMMENDING THOSE THAT HAVE A DRAIN IN FRONT OF THEIR , PROPERTY TO KEEP THE DRAINS CLEAN . ,� *�COUNCILMEMBER RALEY MOVED FOR ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FROM HOUSTON ENDOWMENT INC .
