COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING HOME SALES SIGNS PARTICULARLY OVER THE WEEKENDS AND STATED HE DOES NOT KNOW IF THE CITY IS DOING ANYTHING TO ENFORCE THE ORDINANCE PROPERLY . COUNCILMEMBER STUART REPORTED HE CHAIRED THE CLEAR CREEK REGIONAL FLOOD CONTROL MEETING HELD LAST WEEK AND REPORTED ON HOW PEARLAND LOOKEA AT A REGIONAL PLAN AND RECOMMENDED THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ENGINEER LOOK AT DRAINAGE IMPACT FEES DURING THE BUDGET WORK SESSIONS AND REPORTED THE COMMITTEE APPROVED A CONTRACT WITH DANNENBAUM AS CONSULTING ENGINEER AT A COST OF $1 , 940 TO FRIENDSWOOD AND REPORTED THE COMMITTEE IS PURSUING THE OWNER OF A LARGE TRACT OF LAND IN FRIENDSWOOD FOR A REGIONAL DETENTION POND AND COULD POSSIBLY BE USED AS SOCCER FIELDS . COUNCILMEMBER MANISON REPORTED ON ATTENDING THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE REGION IV MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVE GENE GREEN AS GUEST SPEAKER , ATTENDED THE ANNUAL TEXAS RECREATION AND PARKS BANQUET WITH THE FRIENDSWOOD PARKS BOARD , REPORTED ON ABRAHAMS CONSTRUCTION HOLDING THEIR SAFETY AWARDS DINNER AT CAMP MANISON AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT WITH THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVES REGARDING RE-NAMING PARKWOOD TO NASA ROAD ONE AND ' ATTENDED THE SOIL CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL MEETING IN AUSTIN WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM H . IS WORKING ON SUCH AS JOB RETENTION , SPACE STATION FREEDOM AND RECRUITING NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW JOBS. MR . REINHARTSEN STATEA HE LOOKS FORWARD TO WORKING WITH FRIENDSWOOD AND REPORTED HE HAS A SPECIAL INTEREST IN FRIENDSWOOD AS THIS IS WHERE HE LIVES . COUNCILMEMBER MANISON POINTED OUT THAT MR . CITY MANAGER REPORTED ON FIVE YEAR SIDEWALK PROJECT AND KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL - RECYCLING REALITIES , CAR WASH AT CQNOCO SITE 2 .� , . .. . ..:r.\1�.�Y��.. 271 ON FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE , FM 518 SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTTON AND CHANGE ORDER FOR SHADWELL LANE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2 , 105. 20 AND REPORTED THAT CAPTAIN JIMMY HOLLAND HAS RECEIVED INFORMATION THAT THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AT WHISPERING PINES AND CASTLEWOOD WILL BE APPROVED . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH ASKED ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE SOUND WALL ON FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE FRONTING HIDDEN COVE WITH CITY MANAGER ADVISING HE WILL CHECK INTO THIS MATTER . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH STATED HE IS STILL IN SUPPORT OF A OIL RECYCLING PROGRAM AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE A PROGRAM IMPLEMENTED . CITY MANAGER ADVISED HE IS DISCUSSING WITH THE SURROUNDING CITIES � AND STAFF IS LOOKING AT GRANT APPLICATIONS . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH REQUESTED A CONSTRUCTTON SCHEDULE FOR THE OUTFALL DITCH PLANNED FOR IN SUNMEADOW SUBDIVISION IN THIS BUDGET YEAR . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH REQUESTED THE STATUS OF THE TURN AROUND LANE AT THE SESQUICENTENNSAL POOL WITH CITY MANAGER ADVISING THIS IS A PART OF THIS YEAR �S STREET PROGRAM. COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVTCH STATED HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CITY CONTINUE ON THE PLANS FOR LAKE FRIENDSWOOD , THE FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE GOLF COURSE , THE STEVENSON PARK MASTER PLAN AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE SIGN ORDINANCE INCLUDING TEMPORARY SIGNS AND REVIEW OF THE PORTION OF THE ORDINANCE REGULATING TEMPORARY SIGNS . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH RECOMMENDED THE CITY TRY A PILOT PROGRAM ON COMPOSTING AND INTRODUCED A REPRESENTATIVE FROM A COMPOSTING FIRM THAT USE WIRE BINS . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH STATED HE WOULD , LIKE TO SEE THE CITY TRY A PILOT PROGRAM IN ONE OR MORE SUBDIVISIONS . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH STATED THIS PROGRAM IS A SIMPLE PROGRAM THAT REDUCES 40/60� LANDFILL WASTE. DISCUSSION WAS HELD THAT POSSIBLE THERE WOULD BE GRANT FUNDS AVAILABLE AND THAT POSSIBII,ITY OF THE CHAMBER HAVING THIS TNFORMATION AVAILABLE AT THEIR TRADE FAIR . ��'COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH MOVED TO RECOMMEND CHANGING THE LIST OF DRAINAGE PROJECTS TO INCLUDE CLOVER ACRES AND CHANGE MELODY LANE TO FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE AND TO SET UP WTTHOUT PRIORITIES , SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL ADDITIONS .
