GALVESTON COUNTY TAX RESEARCH COUNCIL AND ON A ARTICLE BY STATE AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER RICK PERRY ON NEWSPRINT BEING MADE OUT THE THE PLANT KNEF . COUNCILMEMBER MANISON REPORTED HE ATTENDED THE ANNUAL SOIL AND CONSERVATION MEETING ALONG WITH STATE LEGISLATURES AND DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD REGARDING THE SCHOOL FINANCE ISSUE , REPORTED ON ATTENDING THE PARKS BOARD MEETING WITH CONSULTANT J . T . DUNKIN PRESENTING UPDATE ON THE PARKS MASTER PLAN AND REPORTED ON ATTENDING A TENACO GAS PIPELINE SAFETY MEETING IN ALVIN. 1 196 COUNCILMEMBER HAJECATE THANKED CITIZENS THIS WEEK FOR INPUT ON SEVERAL ISSUES BEFORE COUNCIL AND URGED EVERYONE TO VOTE . CITY MANAGER REPORTED THIS MEETING MARKED HIS TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH THE CITY , REPORTED ON THE INFILTRATION AND INFLOW STUDY REPORT, EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SYSTEM UPDATE , THE STREET PAVING PROGRAM FOR 1992-1993 AND THE EPA REQUIRED SAMPLE LEAD COPPER TESTING OF SOME 60 HOMES THIS YEAR AND THEN 30 SAMPLES THE NEXT THREE YEARS. COUNCILMEMBER STUART EXPRESSED CONCERNS ABOUT THE FM 518 AND FM 528 INTERSECTION . CITY MANAGER ADVISED THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE WORKING OVER THE WEEKEND TO SPEED UP THE INTERSECTION WORK. COUNCILMEMBER MEASELES ASKED ABOUT THE WIDENING PROJECT FOR SUNSET TO INCLUDE BIKE PATHS AND WOULD LIKE TO 5EE THE PATHS LISTED IN THE STREET REPORT . CITY MANAGER ADVISED THE BIKE PATH IS INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH ASKED THE STATUS OF CLOVER ACRES DRAINAGE AND REQUESTED THE CITY START SOME PLANNING FOR THIS PROJECT. MAYOR NEWMAN REPORTED A MEETING WILL BE HELD WITH THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER OF PEARLAND AND DRAINAGE PROJECTS WERE DISCUSSED . COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH REQUESTED THE CITY EVALUATE SOME OF THE STREETS PLANNED FOR OPEN DITCH AND CURB AND GUTTER FOR DRAINAGE IMPACT . STAFF RESPONDED THE IMPACT HAS BEEN LOOKED AT AND WILL EVALUATE AFTER THE SURVEY HAS BEEN COMPLETED . ��COUNCILMEMBER STUART MOVED TO APPROVE ADOPTION OF FIVE YEAR PROGRAM STREET PROGRAM WITH STAFF TO SELECT PRIORITY STREETS ANNUALLY , SUBJECT TQ CHANGE .
