MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL THAT
WAS HELD ON MARCH 16 , 1992 AT � : 00 PM AT FRIENDSWOOD CITY HALL ,
COUNCIL CHAMBERS , 109 WILLOWICK, FRIENDSWOOD , TEXAS WITH THE

EARLY RELEASE OF INMATES FROM COUNTY JAILS, ANNOUHCED THAT
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS MAY BE TAKEN TO UNIVERSITY OF
HOUSTON ON APRIL 11 FOR DISPOSAL , REPORTED THE TAX COLLECTOR
REPORT INDICATES COLLECTION IS AT 97 • 19� � REPORTED SALES TAX
COLLECTION IS UP , REPORTED THE RECYCLING REPORT FOR JANUARY
INDICATES 1 �3 TONS OF RECYCLABLES WERE COLLECTED , REPORTED THE
BUILDING REPORT FOR FEBRUARY INDICATES NEW CONSTRUCTION IS UP 95�
FROM 1991 AND NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR THIS YEAR IS UP 52� .
COUNCILMEMBER NEWMAN PUBLICLY THANKED CITIZEN PAUL FRONZEK FOR
CLEANING UP THE GRAFFITI ON THE PROPERTY ON CASTLEWOOD , REPORTED
SEVERAL EAGLE SCOUTS ARE WORK ON SEVERAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS TO
EARN THEIR BADGES AND ASKED ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE LIGHT ON
CASTLEWOOD AND FM 518 . CITY MANAGER ADVISED HE HAS NOT HEARD
ANYTHING SINCE FEBRUARY AND WILL CHECK ON THE STATUS .

GALVESTON COUNTY COMMISSIONER WAYNE JOHNSON PRESENTEA A $7 , 000 TO
FRIENDSWOOD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING IN THE
UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF GALVESTON COUNTY . ACTING FIRE CHIEF MARK
