FOR FIRE PROTECTION IN THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF HARRIS COUNTY,
ASKED FOR COONCIL COMMENTS 013 FORM FOR QIIALIFICATIONS FOR BOARDS
AND COMMISSIONS AND ANNOUNCED EARLY VOTIiJG WILL BE CONDUCTED IN
FRIENDSWOOD CITY HALL FQR GALVESTON COUNTY VOTERS FOR THE �,

ON ATTENDING THE C .C.D.D . MEETING AND THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ,
WITH THE CITY WAS APPRQVED, REPORTED ON CONCERNS REGARDING THE
DITCHES AT EAG�E LAKE SUBDIVISION, REPORTED ON ATTENDING MEETING
OF CLEAR LAKE COUNCIL OF CITIES MEETING , REPORTED PARKS BOARD �
APPROVAL FOR PURCHASE OF NEW "CASTLE" PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT,
REPORTED QN A TOWN MEETING PLANNED BY THE PARKS BOARD , REPORTED
THE HERITAGE MUSEUM FESTIVAL WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL, REPORTED THE �
FIRE DEPARTMENT'S �OTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION HAD EXCELLENT
PARTICIPATION AND ASKED FOR EVERYONE TO REMEMBER BENNY BAKER THIS
WEEK.
COUNCILMEMBER NEWMAN REPORTED THE HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATION AND
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL,
AND AEPORTED ON THE �UMEROUS FESTIVITIES PLANNED FOR THE
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. �
COUNCILMEMBER STUAAT REPORTED ON ATTENDING THE CLEAR CREEK
REGIONAL WATERSHED STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING , ATTENDED THE
HARRIS COUNTY MAYOA ' S AND COUNCIL' S MEETING WITH MAYOR SCHRADER
AND COUNCILMEMBER RALEY , REPORTED ON THE RECYCLING REPORT AND
REQUESTED A WORK5HOP MEETING TO DISCUSS RECYCLING NEWSPAPERS AND
ANNOUNCED THAT FRTENDSWOOD RESIDENT DAVID ZWINGMAN HAS BEEN
APPOINTED BY GOVERNOR RICHARD TO THE "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS QUINTO
CENTENARIO" COMMITTEE.
COUNCILMEMBER RALEY REPORTED ON ATTENDING THE HARRIS COUNTY
MAYOR 'S AND COUNCILMENtS MEETING WITH MAYOR SCHRADER AND
COUNCILMEMBER STUART AND HEAA A EXCELLENT SPEAKER REGARDTNG THE
HARRIS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT AND EXPRESSEA SUPPORT TO BENNY
BAKER DURTNG HIS RECOVERY FROM CANCER SURGERY .

97TH ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION APPEAR,ED BEFORE COUNCIL AND
BRIEFLY OUTLINED EVENTS THAT ARE BEING PLANNED BY THE COMMTTTEE.
MR. MORGAN ANNOUNCED THE THEME FOR 1992 WILL BE "CONTINUING
DISCOVERIES" AND ANNOUNCED THE EVENING PROGRAM WILL BE A COUNTRY
AND WESTERN CONCERT FEATURING NEW COUNTRY AND WESTERN STNGER
TRISHA YEARWOOD.
CITY MANAGER REPORTED ON FM 2351 UTILITY RELOCATION PROJECT,
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT CASTLEWOOD AND FM 518 , REPORTED ON PROTECTED
LEFT TURN AT FM 2351 AND SUNSET AND REPORTED ON THE STATUS OF THE
OVERFLOW OF RECYCLING BINS FOR NEWSPAPERS AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS.
COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH ASKED THE STATUS OF THE SUNMEADOW
DRAINAGE PROJECT WITH CITY MANAGEA ADVISING THE CITY NEEDS ONE
EASEMENT THEN THE PROJECT WILL HE READY FOR CONSTRUCTION. „�

ISSUE BUT A RESPONSE HAS NOT BEEN RECEIYED. COUNCILMEMBER RALEY
ASKED STAFF TO LOOK INTO THE PHONE EXCHANGE' S IN ADDITION TO THE
ZIP CODE BOUNDARIES WITH CITY MANAGER ADVISING HE HAS SPOKEN TO
THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE REPRESENTATIVE AND THEY ARE DOING
SOME ENGINEERING WORK ON THZS ISSUE.
