MAYOR PRO-TEM FRANKOVICH THANKED JIMMIE THOMPSON AND JON BRANSON ' FOR THEIR EFFORTS IN MOVING TREES FROM A MULTI-FAMILY DEVELOPMENT TO RENWICK PARK , REPORTED THE CITY HAS EXECUTED THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2 . 5 ACRES ADJACENT TO STEVENSON PARK , REPORTED ON CITY SEEKING SUPPORT FOR H.B. 2323 THAT WAS INTRODUCED BY U .S. REPRESENTATIVE JACK BROOKS FOR REMOVAL OF OLD RAILROAD BRIDGE FOR THE CLEAR CREEK PROJECT , REPORTED FIRE MARS�HAL VANCE RILEY WAS IN AN ACCIDENT THURSDAY AND WAS LIFE FLIGHTED TO THE HOSPITAL BUT IS IN GOOD CONDITION , REMINDED EVERYONE OF THE PARKS BOARD MIDNIGHT BIKE RAMBLE ON SATURDAY MARCH 23 , REQUESTED AGENDA ITEM FOR NEXT MEETING FOR DISCUSSION REGARDING WATER BILLING SURVEY FOR MONTHLY OR BI-MONTHLY AND REPORTED ON CORRESPONDENCE FROM GALVESTON COUNTY JUDGE HOLBROOK , DETERMINING WATERSHED BOONDARY DISPUTE. FIRE CHIEF RICK MCFEE ACCEPTED THE CHECK ON BEHALF �OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THANKED COMMISSIONER JOHNSON AND GALVESTON COUNTY FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT . COUNCILMEMBER RTTTER REQOESTED CITY MANAGER LOOK AT POLICY ON WRECKER TOWING & STORAGE FEES AND ASKED FOR COPY OF CORRESPONDENCE SENT TO POLICE CHIEF FROM $ILL FUSS, REQUESTED STAFF LOOK AT EARLY MORNING TRAFFIC AT BLACKHAWK AND FM 2351 , AND STATED THE PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE DO�NATED TREES THAT WERE TRANSPLANTED AT RENWICK PARKS SHOULD BE THANKED FOR THEIR DONATION . COUNCILMEMBER WICKLANDER REPORTED THE FRIENDSWOOD/ALVIN/PEARLAND CLOVER FIELD AIRPORT COMMITTEE WILL MEET TUESDAY TO REVIEW STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATI�NS RECEIVED TO PREFARE MASTER PLAN . COUNCILMEMBER NEWMAN REPORTED ON RECEIVING CALLS REGARDING THE WATER BILLING AND STATED THE CITY MANAGER AND WATER DEPARTMENT ARE COMPILING A LIST OF CALLS RECEIVED REGARDING THE BILLING, REPORTED ON NUMEROUS EVENTS PLANNED FOR THIS WEEKEND SUCH AS THE WESTWOOD FUN RUN AND FESTIVAL , ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW AND MIDNIGHT BIKE RAMBLE , AND EXPRESSED APPRECIATION TO JIMMIE THOMPSON , JON BRANSON AND RON COX FOR THE VARIOUS PROJECTS BEING WORKED ON . COUNCILMEMBER STUART REPORTED HE MET WITH THE NEW ELECTRICAL BOARD THIS EVENING WHICH IS MEETING FOR •THE FIRST TIME SINCE ADDING NEW MEMBERS , REPORTED ON ATTENDING THE CLEAR CREEK WATERSHED COMMITTEE MEETING HELD LAST WEEK, REPORTED THAT COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH AND . HE WILL TRAYEL TO WASHINGTON THIS WEEK IN SUPPORT OF THE CLEAR CREEK FUNDING, REPORTED ON A NEWSPAPER REPORT ON THE CITY OF HOUSTON SEWER PROBLEMS WITH INFILTRATION , AND REPORTED ON NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ON MULCH COMPOSTING IN CLEAR LAKE AND SUGGESTED THE CITY LOOK INTO THIS PROGRAM. � COUNCILMEMBER RALEY ASKED ABOUT THE FEMA FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM AND UPbATES vSED BY INSURANCE AGENCIES . 2 � 431 MAYOR PRO-TEM FRANKOVICH CLARIFIED IT IS THE CITY ' S POSITION TO PREPARE MAPS FOR UPDATNG THE FEMA MAPS . COUNCILMEMBER STUART STATED THE NEW FEMA MAPS WILL HAVE TO BE FILED BY EACH CITY TO BE INCLUDED IN THE REGIONAL FEMA MAP . COUNCILMEMBER NEWMAN POINTED pUT THE LATEST UPDATE TO THE FEMA MAP IS 1988 WHICH IS WHAT IS AVAILABLE AT THE CITY . LOCAL ARTIST LAURIE WHITEHEAD APPEARED BEFORE. COUNCIL TO REQUEST ,� ASSISTANCE IN FUNDING THE SHIPPING AND CRATING OF HER NEWEST PAINTING, QUINTO CENTENARI�, TO THE MARITIME MUSEUM IN LOS ANGELES AND ALSO REQUESTED SHE BE NAMED OFFICIAL AMBASSADOR FOR WHICH WILL PROMOTE THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD AND THE ARTS. COUNCIL REQUESTED CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REVIEW THIS REQUEST. FRANK WEBB SPOKE IN REGARDS TO PROPOSED ORDINANCE 91-11 , REGULATING LARGE PARTIES . FIRE CHIEF RICK MCFEE THANKED COUNCIL FOR THEIR SUPPORT DURING HIS TENURE THESE LAST TWO YEARS AND ADVISED COUNCIL HE WOULD NOT BE SEEKING RE-ELECTION AND THANKED COUNCIL AND STAFF FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE AND COOPERATION DURING HIS TERM AS FIRE CHIEF .
