MAYOR SCHRADER ANNOUNCED THAT THE PATRIOTIC RALLY HELD LAST MONDAY AT STEVENSON PARK WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL AND THANKED EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED . MAYOR SCHRADER REPORTED THAT RECYCLING STARTED THIS WEEK, REPORTED SURFACE WATER PUMPAGE IS UP , REPORTER THERE WAS MINOR FLOODING WITH THE HEAVY RAINS LAST WEEK WHICH CREATED A PROBLEM IN SOME AREAS WITH SEWAGE , REPORTED THE HL&P FRANCHISE RECEIVED IS UP FROM THE BUDGETED AMOUNT , AND REPORTED TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BAY AREA BOULEVARD PROJECT . COUNCILMEMBER RITTER ACKNOWLEDGED THE TREMENDOUS RESPONSE TO THE PATRIOTTC RALLY AND ALSO REPOATED ON THE START UP OF THE RECYCLING PROGRAM. � COUNCILMEMBER WICKLANDER ANNOUNCED HE WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE TURN QUT F�R THE PATRIOTIC RALLY AND EXPRESSES APPRECIATION TO THOSE THAT WORKED TO PUT THE RALLY TOGETHER , ESPECIALLX PARKS DIRECTOR JON BRANS�N AND THE PARKS CREW. COUNCILMEMBER NEWMAN STATED . SHE HAS HEARD MANY NICE COMMENTS REGARDING THE PATRIOTIC RALLX AND STATED� THE PROGRAM WAS VERY MOVING . COUNCILMEMBER STUART REPORTED HE ATTENDED THE CLEAR CREEK FLOOD CONTROL COMMITTEE MEETING ON FEBRUARY 13TH AND PHASE 2 STUDY IS ON TARGET. COUNCILMEMBER STUART SUGGESTED THE ENGINEERING FIRM AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM HARRIS COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT MEET WITH FRIENDSWOOD IN WORKSHOP TO PRESENT UPDATE ON THE PROJECT . COUNCILMEMBER STUART ADVISED THAT "RED" BOST WAS BuRIED THURSDAY AT THE QUAKER CEMETERY AND ASKED THAT EVERYONE REMEMBER 1 41 � THE THINGS HE HAD ACCOMPLISHED FOR FRIENDSWOOD . COUNCILMEMBER RALEY STATED HE WAS HONORED TO BE A PART OF THE PATRIOTIC RALLY AND WAS ESPECIALLY PROUD AT THE DISPLAY OF FLAGS THROUGHOUT THE CITY . �. COUNCILMEMBER FRANKOVICH THANKED THOSE THAT HELPED WITH THE AALLY , REFORTED TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMElVT EXPRESSED COKCERN ABOUT ' LETTING THE BID FOR THE FM 528 PROJECT THIS FISCAL YEAR DUE TO RIGHT OF WAY FOR RELOCATION OF UTILITY LINES , REPORTED HE HAS .� ACQUIRED SAMPLE ORDINANCES ON TREE REPLACEMENT AND SUGGESTED THEY BE PASSED ON TO PLANNING ZONING COMMISSION FOR REVIEW AND REPORTED ON SOME OF THE FLOODING EXPERIENCED THROUGHOUT THE CITY LAST WEEK AND SUGGESTED THE CITY PREPARE A MAP IDENTIFYING THE STREETS AND DEVELOP PRIORITY FOR DRAINAGE PROJECTS . MR . TOM MANISON PRESENTED AN INFORMATIVE QUARTERLY UPDATE ON CURRENT ACTIVITIES WITH THE CLEAR LAKE AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION . MR . JOE LOCKRIDGE APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL REGARDING THE STATUS OF CLOVER ACRES DRAINAGE PROJECT AND STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT AERiAL SIIRVEY . MAXOR SCHRADER ADVISED THE CITY WILL WORKSHOP THIS PROJECT ON MARCH 11TH WITH ALL PARTIES BEING INVITED TO PARTICIPATE . MR . MEL MEASLES ANNOUNCED HIS CANDIDACY FOR COUNCIL POSITION N0 . 2 AND OUTLINED HIS BACKGROUND AND HIS GOALS . CITY MANAG�R REPORTED ON STREET PROJECT , UTILITY RELOCATIONS FOR FM 2351 , BLACKHAWK BOOSTER STATION , CHANGE ORDER N0 . 3 , IMPACT FEE REFUNDS , RECYCLING GRANT FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES , REPORTED ON MEETING WITH T. D .W.D. B.
