RECOGNIZED CITY ATTORNEY TODD STEWART .

WEEK" AND PRESENTED THE PROCLAMATION TO HUMANE OFFICERS MARTY
STERN AND MARSHA KENNEDY AND RUSSELL WILLIAMS , SUPPORT SERVICES
COORDINATOR .
MAYOR SCHRADER PROCLAIMED THE MONTH OF MAY , 1989 AS "MENTAL
HEALTH MONTH" AND PRESENTED THE PROCLAMATION TO PAM BARTON ,
PRESIDENT OF INTERACT COUNSELING .
MAYOR SCHRADER RECOGNIZED THE CONTRIBUTION BY OUTGOING
COUNCILMEMBER AND MAYOR PRO-TEM JOE PRIHODA AND HIGHLIGHTED THE
ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF MAXOR AND CITY C011NCIL OVER THE PAST YEAR .
COUNCILMEMBERS STATED THEIR APPRECIATION TO OUTGOING
COUNCILMEMBER JOE PRIHODA WHICH COUNCILMEMBER PRIHODA RESPONDED
BY STATING HE WILL MISS EVERXONE AND HAS ENJOYED SERVING ON
COUNCIL .
MR . FLOYD SEILER APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL TO REQUEST COUNCIL
CONSIDERATION FOR ADDITIONAL TAX EXEMPTION FOR DISABLED , STATING
THERE WERE TWENTY TWO DISABLED ON THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TAX ROLL.
COUNCIL ADVISED MR . SEILER THEY WOULD CONSIDER THIS REQUEST AT
THE NEXT REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING .
MR. DARYL SASSER REPRESENTING FOREST BEND HOMEOWNERS APPEARED
BEFORE COUNCIL TO REQUEST COUNCIL CQNSIDER NO PARKING ON DAVID
GLEN , BLACKHAWK AND THRU STREETS STATING THREE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN

19TH DAY OF NOVEMBER , 1984 , AND BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY , BY STRIKING ALL OF SUBPARAGRAPH "a" OF PARAGRAPH 16 OF
SUBSECTION K OF SECTION 8 AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR A NEW
SUBPARAGRAPH "a" , AND BY ADDING TO PARAGRAPH 16 OF SUBSECTION K
OF SECTION 8 A NEW SUBPARAGRAPH "d" ; PROVIDING THAT A MAXIMUM OF

APPROVED AS PRESENTED .

MAYOR SCHRADER (ja?�t"S' DAVE ZWINGMAN , CO-CHAIRMAN OF 4TH OF JULY
STEERING COMMITTEE WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK TO PRESENT AN UPDATE ON
THE 4TH FESTIVITIES BEING PLANNED .
MAYOR SCHRADER ANNOUNCED THE ALVIN/MANVEL AREA CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE IS ORGANIZING A MAYORtS MEET TO TALK ABOUT A NUMBER OF
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUGGESTIONS AND ADVISED HE WOULD KEEP
COUNCIL INFORMED AS TO THAT MEETING .
MAYOR SCHRADER STATED WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM
THE PROPERTY OWNER IN REGARDS TO THE GRAFFITI ON THE FENCE
ON CASTLEWOOD AND WILL REFER THIS TO THE CITY ATTORNEY FOR A
RECOMMENDATION .

MAYOR SCHRADER REPORTED THE CITY RECEIVED A NICE LETTER FROM
ABRAMS CONSTRUCTION REGARDING THE CITY� S RESOLUTION OF
COMMENDATION FOR THEIR GOOD JOB.
MAYOR SCHRADER STATED EVERYONE SHOULD BE AWARE OF SOUTH BELT
ELLINGTON LEADER ALLEGATIONS AND THAT HE IS FOLLOWING THAT AS
CLOSELY AND QUICKLY AS HE CAN .
COUNCILMEMBER PRIHODA STATED THAT GLYN LUNNEY IS BEING CONSIDERED
FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON BOARD OF REGENTS AND
ASKED IF COUNCIL WOULD CONSIDER A RESOLUTZON OF RECOMMENDATION AT
THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING WHICH COUNCIL CONCURRED WITH.
MOTION MADE AND APPROVED TO ADJOURN AT 8 : 30 PM .
