P�ICKEN2IE HAS RECEIVED THE DESIGNATION AS "CERTIFIED MUNICTPAL
CLERK" THRU THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUT� OF MUNICIPAL CLERKS.
COUNCILMAN NEWAIAN ANNOUNCED THE SESQUICFNTENN:CAL FRONTIER DAY
I'E5TIVITIES HELD OP1 SATURDAY WAS WELL ATTENDED AND QUITE
SUCCESSFUL AND ANNOUNCED THERE WILL BE AN ADOPTION CEREMONY ON
DECEMBER 13, 1986
COUNCILAIAN WICI{LANDER STATED THE ESTIMATED COST OF THE PROPOSED
CITY HALL IS APPROXIMATELY $55 . 00 PER SQUARE FOOT AND CAME IN AT
JUST UNDER $1, 000, 000 MILLION DOLLARS. THE ARCHITECT WILL BE
INSTRUCT TO BUILD THE MOCK UP FOR DISPLAY IN TWO P�IASES, SHOWING
THE CITY HALL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.
COUNCILMAN WICKLANDER REPORTED HE HAD SPOKE TO PATE ENGINEERING
AND THAT THE FIGURE THE WERE GOING TO USE FOR TF�E SURFACE WATER
PROJECT IS APPROXIMATELY $4 MILLION DOLLARS.
MAYOR LOWE PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF NCJVEMB�R 15-23 , 19£36 AS "TEXAS
LIONS CAMP WEEK FOR HANDICAPPED CHILDREN" AND PRESENTED A
PROCLAMATION TO LARRY TAYLOR.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIV E VICE PRESIDENT JANIS LOWE PRESENTED
COUNCIL WITH THE FIRST FRIENDSWOOD PROFILE DIRECTORY. THESE
DIRECTORIE5 WILL BE MAILED TO ALL CITIZENS WITH 77546 ZIP CODE.
MAYOR LOWE CALLED A PUBLTC HEARING TO ORDER TO REC�IVE PUBLIC
INPUT BOTH VERBALLY AND WRITTEN REGARDING PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
TRACT'S IV AND V LOCATED NORTH OF CLEAR CREEK IN HARRIS COUNTY,
TEXAS OUT OF THE JOHN DICKINSON 5URVEY, ABSTRACT 15 .
HEARING NO INPUT, MAYOR LOWE CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING.

OF THE HAND HELD METER READING DEVICES BEGAN TODAY AND WILL TAKE
APPROXIMATELY TWO MONTHS TO TEST. PRESENTED A ROUGfi DRAFT FOR THE
RENC7VATION OF THE TANK AT PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE DOG POUND, THE
COST HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME .
