MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL THAT
WAS HELD ON SEPTEMBER 9, 1985 AT CITX HALL AT 7 : 00 PM WITH THE
FOLLOWING PRESENT CONSTITUTING A QU�RUM:

BRINGING THT5 BAND TO FRIENDSWOOD.
MAYOR LOWE REPORTFD HOUSTON GALV ESTON AREA COUNCIL IS HOLDING A
PLANNING AND ZONING SEMINAR ON SEPTEMBER 24 AND THOSE INTERESTED
; SHOULD MAKE AN EFFORT TO ATTEND.

MR. BILL WALSH OF WALSH ENGINEERING APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL TO
PRESENT HIS FIRM�S QUALIFICATIONS AND STATED HE WOULD APPRECIATE
CONSIDERATION BY THE CITY FOR ENGINEERING PROJECTS THE CITY MAY
HAV E IN THE FUTURE.
MAYOR LOWE READ CORRESPONDENCE FROM MARGARET GEORGE REGARDING
SURFACE WATER CONCERNS OF WATER DISTRICT 108 . MS. GEORGE
REQUESTED THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD AND MUD 55 INCLUDE WATER
DISTRICT 108 IN SURFACE WATER PLAN5 AND URGED THE CITY TO WORK
WITH WATER DISTRTCT 108 AS SOMEDAY THIS DISTRICT WILL BE IN THE
CITY LIMITS. COUNCILMAN WICKLANDER STATED THAT WATER DISTP.ICT 108
COULD BE ASSURED THAT DURING DISCUSSIONS REGARDING SURFACE WATER
THAT WATER DISTRICT 108 WAS INCLUDED.
MAYOR LOWE REPORTED HE VISITED THE ELE�IATED WATFR TOWER SITE AND
TALKED TO THE CREW AND THAT THEY WERE V ERY IMPRES5ED WITH THE
STRENGTH OF THE TOWER AND THAT THEY REPORTED THE PROJECT SHOULD
BE COMPLETE IN APPROXIMATELY 30 DAYS .
