PROPOSED USE OF 1985-1986 ANNUAL BUDGET WHICH IS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$9, 275,600.
CITY MANAGER PRFSENTED COUNCIL WITH HIS BUDGET MESSAGE OUTLINING
THE PROPOSED BUDGET STATING THE BUDGET FIGURE WAS BASED ON
A .71 CENT TAX RATE WITH A 30$ HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION BUT WAS
FIGURED ON AB ESTIMATED AD V ALOREM V ALUE AS THE CERTIFIED TAX
ROLL HAS NO� BEEN RECEIV ED AT THIS TIME.
A LENTHY DISCUSSION FOLLOWED WITH CITIZENS AND COUNCTL MEMBERS
ASKING QUESTIONS OF STAFF REGARDING THE PROPOSED BUDGET.
HEARING NO FURTHER INPUT MAYOR LOWE CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING.

DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING DESIGNATION OF TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION
FOR FM 2351 AND FM 528 . AFTER RESEIIRCHING THE MINUTES IT WAS
CONFIRAIED THAT COUNCIL HAD NOT ADOPTED A MASTER THROUGHFARE PLAN
WHICH WOULD ADDRESS NUMBER OF LANES, CURB AND GUTTER ANU RIGflT OF
WAY. CITY MANAGER STAZ'ED THIS ITEM WAS PLACED 4N THE AGENDA IN
ORDER TO MAKE A DETERMINATION ON RIGHT OF WA.Y NEEDED IN ORDER
THAT THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION WOULU KNOW WHAT TO
ACQUIRE FROM FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS . TT WAS UECIDED THAT THE CITY
SHOULD REQUEST THE STATE HIGHWAY UE�'ARTMENT PUT IN WRITING THE
RIGHT OF WAY EXISTING AND WHAT IS NEEI�F;D E'UR FM 518 FROM FM 528
TO THE CREEK . COUNCILMAN LEE AND CUUNCIL�MAN PRIHODA WILL WORK
