FRIENDSWOOD VILLAGE SHOFPING CENTER PROJECT. MR. EZELL SZ'ATED
THIS WOULD BE C1VER A TWO MILLION DOLLAR FROJECT FINANCED WITH ID
BONDS.

SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN LEE. MOTION APPROVED UNANTMOUSLY.
MAYOR PRO-TEM NEWMAN AND FLANNING AND ZONING CHAIRMAN RALPH
MILLER CALLED A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
TO ORDER TO RECEIV E PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING A REQUEST TO REZONE A
CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND L�CATED 300 FT. EAST OF THE N.E. CORNER OF
FM 526 AND WINDING WAY FROM CSC AND MFRL TO PUD.
KENT BALLARD INTRODUCED ELMO ROBINSON, DEVELOPER OF GREAT
AMERICAN HOMES RETIREMENT CENTERS WHO DESCRIBED THE RETIREMENT
CENTER PROPOSED FOR THIS LOCATION. THIS RETIREMENT CENTER IS FOR
THOSE ADULTS 60 YEARS OR OLDER IN GOOD HEALTH, IT WILL CONTAIN
APPROXIMATELY 162 TO 165 UNITS ON � 12.72 ACRE SITE AND WILL BE A
ONE STORY STRUCTURE WITH A SECURITY SYSTEM. THIS PROJECT WILL
EMPLOY APPROXIMATELY 25 EMPLOYEE5. THERE WILL BE APPROXIMATELY
18 EFFICIENCYS WITH 450 TO 475 SQ.FT. , APPROXIMATELY 126 ONE
BEDROOM WITH APPROXIMATELY 650 SQ.FT. A.ND 18 TWO BEDROOMS WITH
APPROXIMATELY 850 SQ.FT. . THE SPACE FROM THE BACK PROPERTY LINE
TO THE CL�SET BUILDING WITH BE BETWEEN 115 AND 120 FEET.
