MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL WAS
HELD ON MARCH 12 , 1984 AT CITY HALL AT '7 : 00 PM WITH THE FOLLOWING

MAYOR REQUESTED COUNCILMAN JORDAN 'PO REVIEW COMMUNICATION RECEIVED
REGARDING CABLE TELEVISION.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE COUNCIL WERE AS FOLLOWS :
COUNCILMAN NEWMAN REPORTED ON THE ISSUE OF THE ABANDONED HOUSE IN
WEDGEWOOD. SHE HAD CONTACTED THE OWNERS ATTORNEY AND MORTAGE COMPANY
AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE OWNER PLANNED TO REPAIR THE HOUSE IN QUESTIOAT.
COUNCILMHN WICKLANDER REPORTED SAN JOAQUIN SUBDIVISION WOULD LIKE
TO DONATE 3. ACRES OF LAND TO BE USED AS A SOFTBALL FIELD, A �1EET-
ING IS SCHEDULED TO WORK OUT THE DETAILS.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER' S UFFIC� IS LUOKING AT JOINT CITY/COUNTY ROAD
IMF'ROVEMENT PROGRAM AND SHERIFF' S DEPARTMENT PROVIDING ADDITIONAL
SUPPORT FOR MARINE DIVISION.
CORRESPONDENCE FROM JACK BROOKS ADVISING FRIENDSWOOD DID NOT RECEIVE
FUNDIN� FOR CLEAR CREEK PROJECT. THE MAYOR ADVISED THAT LAST YEAR
A GROUP TRAVELED TO WASHINGTON AND ASKED DO WE WANT TO ATTEND THIS
YEAR?
COUNCILMAN NEWMAN ASKED CITY MANAGER FOR UPDATE ON OVERHEAD AND
ABOVE GROUND WATEP. STORAGE FACILITIES .

DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING ENFORCEMENT OF FEMA ORDINA�CE.
COUNCILMAN WICKLANDER AND COUNCILMAN SCHRADER WILL MEET AND
BRING A RECOMMENDATION BACK TO COUNCIL.
