MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL WAS HELD
ON THE 16TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1984 AT CITY HALL AT 7 : 45 PM WITH THE
FOLLOWING PRESENT, CONSTITUTING A QUORUM:

ABSENT FROM THE MEETING WAS COUNCILMAN LEON BROWN AND COUNCILMAN JAN
JORDAN.

� REGISTER INDICATED 20 PEOPLE PRESENT AT .THIS HEARING .
PLANNING AND ZONING CHAIRMAN RALPH MILLER ADDRESSED DESIGNATIONS BEING
CONSIDERED IN ALL UNMARKED AREAS AS R-1 12ESIDENTIAL, C-1 COMMERCIAL ,
R-5 APARTMENTS AND SP SPECIAL USE .
MR. MIKE BUCKLER REPRESENTING BAYWOOD APt1RTMENTS OUTLINED PROPOSED
EXPANSION OF APARTMENT PROJECT .
MR. BUCKLER ANSWERED SEVERAL QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS PROPOSAL .
MR. LEE SLINGER REPRESENTING THE SLINGER AND JACOBS FAMILIES REQUESTED
- THE 10 ACRE TRACT OF LAND FRONTING FRIENDSWOOD WEBSTER ROAD BE DIVIDED
WITH THE FRONT HALF ZONED AS COMMERCIAL AND THE BACK HALF ZONED MULTI-
FAMILY.
MR. THOMAS H. KENT REQUESTED BY LETTER THAT HIS 1 .4992 ACRE TRACT LOCAT
ED ON FM 2351 AT WANDERING TRAIL BE ZONED C-1 RATHER THAN R-1 AS PREV-
IOUSLY PROPOSED .
MR. R. E . JONES REQUESTED THAT PORTION OF SECTION 8 BE ZONED COMMERCIAL
FOR TOWNHOMES .
MR. JONES ANSWERED SEVERAL QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS REQUEST .
MAYOR LOGJE, HEARING NO OTHER QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE, AD.70URNED THE
MEETING AT 9 : 05 PM.
