Asimakis stated that she and Winnie attended the meeting as representatives for CDEC,
members from Friendswood Downtown Economic Development Committee(FDEDC), Friends of
Downtown Friendswood Association (FDFA) and the Chamber of Commerce were also present. She
added that the meeting was ran effectively by Rhea and that all of the groups agreed CDEC should
be the "centerpiece" and distribute information to the other groups. Winne stated that each group
would come up with three to five main messaging points to discuss at the next meeting. Rhea stated
that the groups ultimately agreed that they all should be reading from the same sheet when it comes
to distributing and receiving information to/from the community. Asimakis adds that the information
distributed needs to be sharpened and should include three to five marketing facts. Asimakis
continued that collaborating with developers and brokers to understand their pitch points, would be
helpful and would like Rhea to set up a visit with two or three of developers or brokers to be able to
ask them questions. Winne stated that he would like to work on updating the CDEC website with city
staff to be able to make it easy to navigate and provide needed information.
