Minutes of Q Special Meetings of October 8 and 22 approved as read. ANNOUNCEMENTS & COMMUNICATIONS 1. Mayor Lowe reported that he has been in contact with Houston regarding surface water sale to Friendswood; he also discussed the matter with Col . Keissling of Clearwoods . It appears that some agreement can be reached with Houston, and that possibly construction of an overhead storage tank may not be necessary at this time. 2 . Councilwoman Black made a brief report on the TML Conference. 3 . The City Secretary reported that Mayor Lowe q�on the men ' s singles and doubles in tennis at the conference, and read a letter from his coubles partner, Jack Murphy of Victoria , commending him on his game . A� / Second : Wood `�,Cf / ui� Vote : Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED l�� ORDINANCE #79/23 - REGULATING DISCHARGE OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE AND PROVIDING FOR COST RECOVERY FOR DOMESTIC SEWER COLLECTION AND TREATMENT - Third and final reading MOTION: (Wood) To adopt Ord. #79/23 on final reading . �l Second : Zeitler �j Vote : Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED � 0 9 �- STREET REPAIRS OF FLOOD DAMAGE - Because the one bid received on � this work was some 100 , 000 over the cost estimated by the Flood Relief appraisers , Mr. Morgan proposes to advertise again for � bids on this work. Council permission was given. � a� SURFACE WATER - Engineer Tom Roach was present to join in furthe� discussion of purchase of surface water from Houston. He was instructed to approach WC&ID 108 and Clearwood about buying this water from Friendswood. Roach is to report back to Council in two weeks .
