April 9, 1979
A Special Meeting of the Frienc�swood City Council was held at the City Hall
on P1onday, April 9, 1979, at 7:30 n.m. with the following memhers present:
Mayor Ralph Lowe
Councilman Loren blood
Councilman Paul Maaz
Councilman Ed Zeitler
Councilman Tom Lay
Councilman Dale 4lhittenburg
City P4anager Jim Plorgan
With a quorum present, and with Councilman R. J. Blanken absent, Mr. Morqan
taking notes mn the absence of the City Secretary, the following business

� A resolution was read by the Mayor setting forth the following results of

OATH OF OFFICE - Administered by P1ayor LoN�e to Vicky Black, Paul t1aaz, and
Loren Wood for �heir respective Council positions .
OFFER OF PROPERTY FOR MUNICIPAL FACILITIES � Chuck Thornton offered the city
a 4.04 acre parcel of land for use as a location for a fire station, police
station, or library building. Council will take the offer un�ier consideration.
GROCE COMPANY PF.RMIT APPLICATI�N - Fngineer Jim Tarr submitted a proposal
to make a study of this proposed operation ancl report to Council on any adverse
affects it may have on citizens of this city. Nis fee was estimated at $1500
for this work.
Dr. Jack Brid�vell , representing the Coward Creek Civic Club; aske�i that
Council pursue the investigation of the operation. The City A.ttorney will
be instructed to attend the hearinq on April 12, 1979.
IMPORVEMFNTS TO MOORE ROAD - Janice Rloodworth reported that she has been in
touch wit the County Commissioner reqarding assistance by the County in
improving Moore Road; he had indicated that the request should come from the
City. This item will be placed on the April 16, agenda for further consideration.

BLFlCKHAWK REGIONAL SEWER PLANT - �ave Guggemas of Engineering Science
presented two alternates for routing of the North Interceptor Line.
After some discussion, it was agreed that the best route for this line
is the one presently included in the plans , therefore, no change will
be made at this time.
ADJOURNMENT - P4otion was made and seconded that the meetinq ad,journ.
The meeting was adjourned.
