J. Blanken Councilman Paul Maaz With a quorum present , and with Councilman Zeitler absent , the following business was transacted: . (� DEPENDENT' S HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE RATE INCREASE - Mr. Morgan /Dd', -i'! �. explained that the rate for employees ' dependents has gone up � approximately $30 per month. In line with Council ` s proposal to pick up this extra cost with City funds , Mr . Morgan stated that 0 total cost for this would be $2 , 563 . � ,� MOTION : (Maaz) To accept the recommendation of the City Manager/� and absorb the increase in dependent ' s health insurance U� For city employees in totalRmount of $2 ,563 . ry� Second: Wood � Vote : Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED COUNCIL CONVENED TO A CLOSED PERSONNEL SESSION under Sec. 2 (g) Article 6252-17 , VTCS . APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE AND PROSECUTORS jv.3 '��r MOTION: (Maaz) To accept recommendation of the City Manager and appoint Mike Driscoll as interim municipal court �jd judge. / �� Second : Whittenburg n Vote : Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED �l MOTION: (Blanken) To designate Dick Gregg and/or Glen MeConnico as interim municipal prosecutor �/ Second : Maaz Vote : Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED The Secretary was instrueted to have appropriate plaques for presentation to the former judge , James Evans , and prosecutor Ted Trigg at next week' s Council meeting . APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR PRO-TEM AND LIAISON POSITIONS FOR 1978 /�Jr-� Mayor Lowe appointed Councilman Tom Lay as Mayor Pro-tem and designated the following liaison positions for this year : Councilman Zeitler : Library Councilman Loren Wood : Community Counciling and Drainage Dist . Councilman Whittenburg : Streets and Utilities I Councilman Lay : Fire and Police Councilman Blanken : Parks & Recreation and Planning & Zoning Commission Councilman Maaz : Finance , Community Appearance Board , and Employee Benefits ADJOURNMENT - Motion made and seconded ; meeting was adjourned.
