MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETINC OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL
July 14, 1975
A Special �Meeting of tiie�Friendswood Cit,y Council was held at the City
Hall at 7:30 p,m. Monday, -July -14, to handle two . items: (1 ) a public
hearing on the next fiscal year' s revenue sharing� budget; and (2) the
awarding of bid on 6,000 tons of limestone. �

Mayor Pro-tem Mi`lton Windler
• Councilman Benny Baker. . .
Councilman William Patton
Councilman Paul Maaz.
With a quorum present, and with Mayor Ralph Lowe and Councilmen Richard
Haken ,and Edward,-Zeitler absent, the business at hand was transacted as �

AWARDING OF BID ON LIMESTONE
r � MOTION: (Baker) To accept the recommendati.on of the .Ci.ty Manager and
��,�' 1� award the bid to Gulf Coast Limestone Company at $7.30 per tonEa
F.O.B, the street.
Second: Maaz
Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
��� � ��l PUBLIC HEARING ON� REVENUE SHARINC BUDG�T
Mr. Morgan reviewed: rece�pts from revenue sharing for the past two years,
stating �hat there is a �balance �of. $28,848 `on-.hand whi.ch_ has been designated �
� toward the �work� on Briar.meadow.` E�pected :amount _�for°this next year is ,
$32,250, which he proposes to us� to pay the balance of the work on Briar- �
meadow, assigning it in its entirety �o capital outlay on streets,
Mr. Bruce Goss requested that $2,500 be allocated �o purchase mi�rofisch�
�sy�tern (viewer and magazine copies) for the: library.
Mrs. Jeannette French suggested tha� some of the funds be used for social
services--one time expenditwres.
Councilman Patton stated that the City should not depend on revenue sharing
funds for any one program. ����,�. -
