Lowe � �-°~ Councilman William Patton Councilman Ralph Gonzalez Councilman Richard Haken Councilman Benny Baker , Councilman Edward zeitler With a quorum present, and with Councilman Windler absent, the following business was transacted: y� AWARDING OF BIDS ON CITY VEHICLES - Mr. Morgan recommended that bids be � awarded to the low bidders, with no trade-ins, as follows: � � 5 � Miller Freeman Ford One Standard Pick-up $4,143.13 p�� � 7wo Small Pick-ups 6,480.78 �°f One One-ton Truck 4,037.27 Norme�.Livermore Dodge One Police Car w/r.adio 4,274.35 One Police Car w/o radio 4,214.80 MOTION: (Zeitler) To accept the low bids on vehicles as recommended by t�e City Manager. Second: ,Haken � Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED ` PETITIONS - Mrs. M9nta Hall lodged a complaint against the Police Department — regarding her son being stopped, his car searched, and tickets being issued to him two days later at his place o� employment. Mrs. Hall was assured ' that the incident would be investigated thoroughly. �� Mr. . L. DeRubies lodged a. complaint against Stop-and-Go for the littered condition surrounding the store, and asked if the City coul� take some action to force the owners to clean up the area. Mr. Morgan will contact the operator on' �he question. OTHER SUBJECTS DISCUSSED included a letter to HUD requesting additional flood insurance information, building or filling in lots in the floodway, a proposed air conditioning and refrigeration ordinance, and connecting Pearland and Friendswood water lines in Longwood Park for use in case of emergency.
