Mayor read a let�er from Representative Bob Casey re plans for meeting ��j!�� in Washington� D.C, with Mayors and other representatives from the C1ear Creek Basin regarding expediting of drainage in this area. Mayor Lowe reported that a11" mayors have been contacted, and that at least 15 peop1e wi11 make the trip on February 19-20 as a united group to get this project moving. 2. Two candidates a e ' e � _ h v f�1 d for the Ma or s race -I Y ncumbent Ra1ph Lowe � and Counci1man Ra1ph Gonza1ez. i 3, Letter from Community Youth Counseling Board offering the name of Mr. Bill Allan for appointment to the vo1unteer post of Youth Counselor. Mr. Allan is Assistant to the Minister of the Friendswood Church of Christ� and a teacher in the Friendswood High School . A resume of his education and experiepce was .presented, and action was taken on his appointment 7ater in the meeting. 4. Letter from L1oyd R. Ferguson,. Clear Creek Pub1ic Schoo1 Superintend- ent�, to P�ayor Lowe, regarding the drugpproblem in Forest Bend� and stating that it is reported �hat drugs are being distributed at the park in Forest Bend and the teen center� and stating his concern. P�TITIONS - Mrs, Annette Wi1liams requested that the new city park be dedicated on March 17„ St. Patrick's Day� and that games and activities � be p1anned for that Sunday afternoon.
