MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
CITY COUNCIL
August 26, 1977
t A Special Meeting of the Friendswood City Council was called to order
� at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 26, by Mayor Edward F, Stuart, for
the express purpose of holding a public hearing regarding annexation
-- of County Roads adjacent to the City Limits. Council Members present
were:
Mayor Edward F. Stuart
Councilman William Patton
Councilman James Mager �
Counci7man Ralph Gonzalez
Councilman Ronald Hamil
'�" With a quorum present and with Councilman Ralph Lowe absent, the business
� at hand was placed before the meeting. �

� With no citizens
F� present wishing to present evidenee in regard to the
c� feasibility and practicability of annexing the roads, as described in
a "Petition for Annexation" from the Galveston County Commissioners '
Court, a Resolution No. 4-71 was presented for consideration of the
Council :
RESOLUTION MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; GRANTING PETITION FOR 9�-�
ANNEXATION AFTER HEARING AND NOTICE; DIRECTING THE PREPARA-
TTON OF AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY.
� and stating:
� 1 . That the Petition �For Annexation adopted .by the Galveston County
. Commissioner's Court on August 2, 1971 and duly presented to the
Mayor of Friendswood on August 6, 1971 , be and it is hereby in all i
things granted. i

Z, That the Corporation Counsel shall prepare the necessary ordinance to '
complete the annexation proceedings. ;
MOTION: (Patton) That Council adopt Resolution No. 4-71 . �
Second: Gonzalez; Vote: Unanimous '
