A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R2024-35 TO UPDATE THE LABOR
STANDARDS OFFICER AS WELL AS HIS ALTERNATE FOR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAMS AND AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN
ACT PROGRAMS; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF
RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT OR IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S.
Department of the Treasury administer a variety of grant programs,including the Community Development
Block Grant Programs and the American Rescue Plan Act Program(collectively the"Programs");and
WHEREAS, the Programs require the designation of a primary and alternate Civil Rights Officer
as well as a primary and alternate Labor Standards Officer;and
WHEREAS,on November 4,2024,the City Council through Resolution No.R2024-35,named the
following as the Labor Standards Officer and Alternate Labor Standards Officer:
Prinian Alternate
Labor Standards Officer Director of Finance Director of Engineering
WHEREAS, it has become evident that the persons named to these positions must be someone
actively involved in the construction phase of each project;and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update the positions appointed to these positions; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and matters set forth in the recitals of this resolution are hereby found
to be true and correct.
Section 2. That Section 2 of Resolution No. R2024-35 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2. That in accordance with the Programs, the City Council hereby
appoints the persons in the following positions to the positions noted:
I'rim:u Alternate
Civil Rights Officer Chief Building Official Director of Community
Development
Labor Standards Officer Director of Engineering Assistant Director of
Engineering
The City Council hereby grants the Mayor the authority to name specific individuals to the
above-referenced offices in the future so long as such appointments are consistent with this
resolution.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions inconsistent or in conflict herewith are, to
the extent of such inconsistency,hereby repealed.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Friendswood.
