A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING FUNDING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR
HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS($430,050.00)FOR
THE HARRIS COUNTY PRECINCT 2 PARTNERSHIP APPLICATION FOR THE
LIFT STATION NO. 27 CAPACITY EXPANSION PROJECT; DESIGNATING THE
MAYOR AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE FOR ALL PURPOSES ASSOCIATED
WITH THE HARRIS COUNTY PRECINCT 2 PARTNERSHIP APPLICATION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS,the City of Friendswood(the "City") is a home-rule municipality with residents who
are constituents of Harris County Precinct 2("Precinct 2");and
WHEREAS, the City and Precinct 2 share the goal of improving experiences of their shared
constituents(living and working/attending school) in the City of Friendswood and Precinct 2; and
WHEREAS, the Lift Station No. 27 Capacity Expansion Project (the "Project") is critical
infrastructure that serves the shared goals of the City and Precinct 2;NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,STATE OF
TEXAS:
Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found
to be true and correct.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Friendswood,Texas,hereby authorizes funding in
an amount not to exceed FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($430,050.00)for the Harris County Precinct 2 Partnership Application submitted by the City for the Project
(the "Application").
Section 3. The City Council hereby designates and appoints the Mayor of the City of
Friendswood as the authorized official for all purposes associated with the Application.
Section 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval.

Friendswood on this the 3rd day of March,2025.
