SPECIAL MEETING OF FRIENDSWOOD CITY COUNCIL JUNE 24, 1968
}. A special meeting of the City Council was called in order to
canvass the Special City Election held June 15, 1968, and to
swear in the new Councilman, George F. Prude, Jr.
Councilman Woods introduced a resolution and order and moved
its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mager
and the motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution
and order prevailed by the following vote: Ayes:-3, Noes:-O.
The resolution is as follows:
There came on to be considered the return of an electiond held
on the 15th day of June, 1968 for the purpose of electing the
hereinafter named official, and it appearing from said returns,
duly and legally made, that there were cast at said election
259 valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates in said
election received the following votes:

George F. Prude, Jr. took the oath of office as Councilman.
The meeting convened to closed meeting.
Discussion was held concerning the hiring of Myron Worden for ,
street maintenance. Council approved unanimously. Councilman'
Woods moved to hire Myron Worden for a period of one week as
Mr. Worden stated it would take this time to straighten out
his affairs. Councilman Mager seconded this motion, which 1`
carried by unanimous vote.
