Comr�unica�ions from the Mayor:
The Baard o�' Equala.za�ion has been appointed. Nembers are
Mrs. Jean Hurt, Mr. Ot�o Haardt, and Mr. Harry Jones. The Board
will�meet at 9:00 A.P�la , Augus� 31, 1967� The tax appra�.sa�.s wi�l
� be mailed ou� beginning Tuesday, August 22, 1967.
On. Tuesday, August 29, 19�7, tl�ere will be a meet3.n.g o�' all
interes�ed citizens �o discuss the prablern of adequa�e daytime
:Eire pro�ec�xon. The Chamber af Gommerce and La.ons C1ub t�ill
attend this meeting.

Hearing on Pe�ita.an for Annexation - WCID �21t
A pub7.ic hearirig was held on the peta.�ion for annexation - WCID
#21. The�e was a question and answer session concernin.g dissolving
of WCID #21 Board, the �and in Brazor3.a Coun�y , dual taxa�ion of
Kingspa�k a�ea, legali�y oi annexation documen�.
I� was brough� out that �he dissolving af the Board should be
_ simultaneous with annexation, depen.ding on �he ac�ion of �he Board.
The PearZand City Council wi�l need to vote an dissolving of the area
in Br�azox�ia County.

, to avoid dual �axation of �he area in Kingspark, ho�reve�, Sta�e
laws mus� prevail. Mr. Granberry and �Attorne.y Jerden are confident
� r �hat �h3.s problem can be resolved.
A matian was made by Co�.ncilman Childers, secon.ded by Councilman
Woods, �o authorize the drafting of an ordinance to enact the
proeeedings of annexation of WCID #21. `�he motion carried unan3�nously.
The �'a.rst �eading of this ordinan.ce will be on Sept�mber 5, 1g67.

i Inc. , presented six copzes of the Municipality' s planning can�racts
