A special meeting of the Friendswood City Council was called
October 11, 1966; 12:30 AM at City Hall.
Present were Mayor Ralph L. Lowe; Councilmen Marvin L. Childers,
William E. Davidson, Harry M. Hatcher, Wiley W. Murrell, Ralph
W. Somers.
Councilman Murrell made a motion seconded by Councilman Davidson
that the City Council authorize City Legal Advisor, Ody Kent
Jerden, to attempt to get the City of Friendswood on the agenda
of the 122nd District Court Docket, October 13, 1966; Cause #104213;
Stop--N-Go Markets of Texas having filed suit against the Texas
State Liquor Board; Purpose: reversal of Judge LaVallets previous
decision of denial of issuance of Beer and Wine retailer's
license for a store location on FM 518, just outside the city
limits of Friendswood, September 13, 1966 in County COmmissioner!s
( C outt. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Councilman Davidson made a motion seconded by Councilman
Childers that the City Council autbmri ze the expenditure of
the sum of $200.00, to be appropriated from the Utilities Fund,
for the estimated cost of charges for determining construction
costs of sanitary sewer line from NASA Mob11e Home Village and
Friendswood Forest to Sewer Plant #2. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Meeting adjourned 12:55 AM.
