MINtTTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL M�,ETING, JFiNUARY 20, 1g65
A special meeting, called by �tayor Wagner, was held January 20, 1g65
- 7 : 30 P.M, at City Hall.
Present were Mayor Pro-Tem Arden Hill, Dale Brown, Marvin Childers,
Harry Hatcher, and H.K. Speck; Keith Smith, Norman 1�Jeaver, Wesley
Unruh, C.C. Bost and Gl�en Browne.
Dale Brown made a motion, that in keepin� with the established policy
of tne Water-Sewer Department oi runn�ng up to 6G� ci water �ine and
�p to 6Q' of sewer line from the existin� lines �er each property
owner(house�, the City will run I20' of 6" water Iine from the
corner• of Mornin.gside Drive and Shady Nook; and will extend existing
sewer line 60' toward Whipkey property at the time present contract' s
6" water line is run alor.g Norningside Drive at that point. At tha�
time Nr, i�Jh�pkey e�- pay f'or the balance of lir.es needed to his
property, and tap fees. Motion secon@ed py H.K. Speck, and
passed unanimousiy.
Marvin Childers made a motion that a letter �e sent to R.G. Daniel.
requesting that, due to immediate developement in his area,he pay
for 2�-� per lot (2) for running water and sewer lines (�8�i-.00 -water
�8�.00 -sewer) and that the City will pay for 60' per lot on water
and sewer lines . Dale Brown seconded the motion; motion unanimous.
H.K. Speck made a motion that the Ci'ty Council author�ze cost of 8"
road bore at Heritage Drive and FM 518 of s�.�ff?cient depth for
gravity flow fram the road bore to Western A��c; cost - �520.00.
It was decided that � nc�tice be placed in R�ker ' s Rulletin:
PLEASE BE PATIENT WHILE THE PRESEN^1 WORK ON ti�JATER AND SEWER
LINES IS IN PROGRESS. IT SHOULU ALL BE OVER BY JULY.
The needed repair to the slip joint on the water tower (Repacking)
at a cost of' �75.00 was authorized by motian of H.K. Speck, second by
i�Iarvin Childer•s; motion unanimous .
Harry Hatcher made a motion that the City Council of the City of
Frzendswood authorize the following chan�e orders in Contract

3" lin� is ad�qu�te for these areas.
2. 2, 1001 of 6" water line on Melody Lane fr•om Chaate road to City
limits ta be changed to 8" water line.
This will allow for future exp�nsion in this area.
