SPECIAL MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT THE END OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION MEETING �F NOVEMBER I0, 196�+ :9:30 P.M. at the CITY OFFICE.
A special meeting of the Friendswood City Council was called to
order at the close of the regular Planning �ommission meeting of
November g, 196� at 9:30 P.M. at the City Office.
Present were Harry Wagner, Dake Brown, Harry Hatcher, Arden Hill,
and H.K. Speck.
Alsc� present were planning commission members Tony Banfield, A.J.
Block, Dean Saurenman, Gerald Hollis .
Purpose of this meeting was to discuss the Post Of�'ice facilities
of Friendswood.
RESOLUTION: Be it resolved by the City Council of The City of
Friendswood :
The Friendswood City Council desires that the Post 6ffice Facilities
of The City of Friendswood be adequate for the future growth of
Friendswood.
We w3.sh to make it clear that any individual or firm may submit
unsolicited proposals to the Post Office Department for any
sui�able construction.
The Municipa� Government has no desire to exclude private capital from
providing desirable Post (Jffice facilities.
A motion to accept this resolution was made by H.K. Speck, seconded
by Arden Hill; Motion passed unanimously.
It was agreed that Mr. Mansfield could go ahead with the subdivision
on the Benson property subject to final plat meeting S/D regulations.
